Another excellent update, thank you. :)
I've got a couple of ideas and little bugs though:
1. Sometimes you can't delete items from the desktop. (You either have to delete something else first or try a few times)
2. When you add items to the desktop, it doesn't save sometimes & when you...
You can map all the buttons, just go to the 'Keyboard' setting on the menu.
Make sure you set these before playing a game (when 'game: default' is in the top right corner) to set them for all games and save them.
If you get confused by the 2 joystick settings see the above posts. :)
Cheers, Neil
I've found a way to get .gpu files to run with Win2x, you just have to create a .gpe (pointing at he required .gpu) then run this. :)
It doesn't work for GP2Xpectrum though! :( (I tried it after reading the above post)
Cheers, Neil
One other little thing I've noticed if the .gpe's name is...
Thanks for agreeing to sort out the 533/550 MHz problem.
I'm not sure that it is the pollux_set causing the hang ups as I can't get any .gpu files (pollux_set or not) to run, but .gpe's run fine. (Most of ZX81's emulators need to be ran from a .gpu)
Another few ideas:
1. Could the name of the...
I don't think it's the pollux set but .gpu files that are hanging the Wiz, all my pollux set start up files are .gpu's, I tried to run another .gpu file (without using the Pollux set) and this hangs up also (but .gpe's run fine)
Also I thought the Wiz ran at 533 MHz, but the default is set at...
I think by ROMs it means games (not Interface II cartridges!), it supports .DSK, .SNA, .SP, .TAP, .TZX & .Z80 files. (These need to go into the roms folder)
Cheers, Neil
Edit: If you need better instructions download the GP2X version (here...
Thanks for the help on these questions. :)
Another problem I've found is that games/emulators etc. using the Pollux set don't work (they just hang up with a black screen), apart from this and the overlapping letters problem, this runs perfectly.
Cheers, Neil
I've just downloaded the latest version (1.1.1), everything seems fine so far. :)
A couple of things though:
1. Could the explorer show the folder/file names in alphabetical order?
2. There's still a couple of functions (eg. accept etc. on the keyboard & the + to add games etc.) that still...
I've now updated the old version on the archive to this newer version (1.8) :)
I didn't realise anybody could update the archive. (I thought it was just the original uploader who could!)
Cheers, Neil
Excellent job, but could you update the one on the archive? ( http://dl.openhandhelds.org/cgi-bin/wiz.cgi?0,0,0,0,6,166 )
As it's still on Beta4 from the 27th of July!
Cheers, Neil
(I've left a comment on the archive)
My menu scrolls too fast also, there's a few things that could be done if we get an update, I put a few ideas on the archive comments:
NEIL_L:
Could the marquees be added on the next release, and could the menu buttons be changed to the same for each menu (eg. B to select/play) instead of...
Thanks for the emulator updates and GNU Robbo. :)
One little thing though, the volume can't be changed in GNU Robbo. (The volume bar changes but the sound doesn't!)
Cheers, Neil
It would be brilliant if the modifiers set up (from GNU Robbo) could be used for other games. (eg. Heretic/Hexen etc.)
Thanks for the above update Pickle, it now runs flawlessly. :)
I brought this subject up on an earlier post:
Could this be done, or am I hoping for a moon on a stick!
Cheers, Neil
I just put the BOR.PAK into the paks folder and it stated up without going to the selection screen.
I overcome the Y/Screenshot problem by mapping screenshot to another button first on the controls screen.
Apart from the start up/selection screen problem, another excellent port. :)
Thanks for the update and the update to the NES levels. :)
I'm glad pack support will be in the next release as I've had to install Wizznic twice! (One for your levels & one for the NES ones)
I've also got a few ideas for the next release:
1. Could the menu be accessed from the start...
Thank you Pickle for the advice, they are all working now.
I put the downloaded M1A1, Marathon 2 & Marathon Infinity folders into the data folder and everythings fine.
You don't have to change the M1A1 script. (If you do it doesn't work, I did this first trying to be clever!)
Cheers, Neil
I can't get any of them to run, where exactly do you have to put the downloaded files/folders? (M1A1, Marathon 2 & Marathon Infinity)
Cheers, Neil
Here's some icons for it, I've resized them to 32x32, 25x25 & 22x25. :)
