    So, What Did You Order?

Your better off asking the developers if they share the info about the unit sales. Another poll won't do anything.

    So, What Did You Order?

Looks like +- 40% of the people here have payed for the dev-fund, so thats also a very nice amount. In most cases the amount of people donating are smaller, so ... this looks like a positive thing.

    Just Received Newsletter!

Got mine around 20:31 GTM+1. Look at it this way, that means maybe 22.000 people ( minus the people who ordered already here ) are still potential clients. Based on the load of the servers that link or host to the Pandora's pre-order event, its clear that its a raving success. Aka, when the...

    I Just Got My Pandora!

Finnaly ... I was wondering if adding the Dev Fund was a big mistake. Add Pandora, check, Add Case, slower, but still workable. Add Dev Fun, *AAAAAAaaarrg*... Timeout. Re-submit... Timeout. Re-submit. Finally, the order page with all the items. Submit, timeout ... Pulls out alcohol, and...

    Openpandora Site Slow Or Down...?

I see this is your first time. With a (hot) item, its almost impossible to keep at the expected release hour. Seen it to many times already. Especially as how the sites get more & more hammered. Remember, the order page is also on those servers. And there is nothing worse then pressing "order"...

    Openpandora Site Slow Or Down...?

That depends if they took measures to deal with it. A standard apache/mysql/php can't handle to much traffic. In most cases you need to optimize the server like using squid, enabling the cache in mysql so you don't keep repeating the same freaking query's ( but just get the cached results )...

    Openpandora Site Slow Or Down...?

Well, thats a good thing ;-) Be sure to get your mysql database with memory cache enabled, and increase the connection limit. Or else i fear its going to go down a few more times.

    It's Preorder Day!

This is what i love about ordering a new tech toy. The excitement, the trill. Seeing everybody drooling all over the web, and website's going down because off to much traffic. Lets hope that they don't limit the preorder. If they send out 22.000 mails, combine that with rapports on engadget...

    Half-life 1 On The Pandora?

Are you sure it was ever released? From what i saw on gamespot, it was canceled. Gamespot

    Ubuntu On Pandora

I think to many people are putting to much focus on Ubuntu. Lets be honest, what is Ubuntu? A Debian based distro, that has been made more user friendly. Thats it. Its more newbie friendly because of the driver support, but in case of the Pandora, thats hardly needed. Its a fixed hardware...

Megadrive On Pandora: Sound And Working Usb Joypad!

Very nice. Any change of letting the Pandora run on battery overnight with the megadrive running? Aka, to get a runtime estimate of the battery usage? :-)

    Something We Forgot!

Thats just plain cruel. Maybe you need to suffer the effects of Parkinson's, so you learn that comments like that are no laughing matter.

    Mockup: Extension Bar

QUOTE Lose the camera. It takes quite the commitment to find a cell phone without a camera on it, and not many people will buy a pandora without a cell phone. Why? The Camera is a nice idea. Hell, i say, go a step farther, and integrade a GPS/Edge/3g whatever in it. QUOTE Lose the GPS...

Is The Pandora Actually Powerful At All?

As long as you don't direct port normal desktop software, yes, then 128MB is more then enough. Ofcourse, when you start running a linux os, with a desktop manager, and several open programs at the same time. Then i fear the 128MB will be a limit. Personally, i'm not against a 256MB version...

    A Belt Holder For Pandora

Why is that any different then having a GSM on your belt? In reality, the Pandora is even cheaper then some GSM's out on the market. And i see no problem with people carrying them on there belt, or using a clip-on. I use it all the time, for the last 6 years or so? Never had a problem with it...

So How Many Gigs Of Memory You Geting?

Not possible. Tried every possible utility to destroy that partition, but none can do it. Even those specify made for USB flash sticks. It's some obscure German made one, and contacting them was zero help. After a few hours, i gave up, and said: "this is not worth wasting my time anymore". So, i...

So How Many Gigs Of Memory You Geting?

2 * 32GB Class 6, if the prices are affordable. Nothing beats having a 64GB system in your pocked. Who needs a mobile HD anymore? At a friends house, and you need to copy a few gigs... Here you are. Plug in the USB port, and say hello to my little friend. And best of all, it beats that...

    Pandora For The Car

Well, when a Dell X50v PDA released several years ago, with half the CPU speed can do it, i think it fairly easy to say: yes, it can do both.
