Super Mario RPG and Kirby's Dreamland 3 use a special chip called the SA-1, so it needs a bit more speed than the Wiz can handle to emulate those games at full speed. Same goes for Yoshi's Island. That uses the Super FX chip which runs really slow on DrPocketSNES on the Wiz. The Wiz just...
Make sure you are not using DrPocketSnes v 7.1.0. That's the recent one that got released. I replicated the crash/freeze in Chrono Trigger with version 7.1.0. However it works fine with the last release v7.0.1. fast or compatible.
Version 7.1.0 only has TV-Out added to it, so please use the...
Ok correction on my part. I am using DrPocketSnes v7.0.1 fast. However in the settings under Emulation I have it set to Compatible. Under the advanced hacks settings I have Audio Permance hack: OFF and Apply snesadvance.dat on ROM load: ON
Also the rom I am using is Final Fantasy VI (J)...
You might be overclocking to high. The emulator freezes for me at anything over 770. Also make sure you're using the compatible version of the emulator to run those games. Also in the settings make sure they are set to compatible. Chrono Trigger runs great for me at 760mhz, so does FF3...
I can verify that it works through Ginge on the Wiz. Sorry I don't have a pandora to try it with, but I don't see why it shouldn't work through Ginge on the Pandora if it works through Ginge on the Wiz.
What is so much better about Outcast on the GP2X that makes it so much better than the Wiz port? Seems about the same to me, from the last time I tried it on my GP2X. I haven't tried it through Ginge, but what makes the gp2x version better?
EDIT: Ok, I got off my lazy ass and tried it in...
The tv-out cable for the caanoo should work fine. You can buy it at play-asia.com here Also, Dingo Digital USA also sells them. I have never ordered from there but I have ordered from play-asia before. There's probably still some gp2x tv-out cables floating around on ebay.
Well comparing the GP2X official cable pin out, it is different than the pins on the official Wiz charger. I don't know if that's because different pins are for different things. I don't have an official Caanoo or Wiz tv-out cable to compare to. I just saw the Wiz tv-out program on the FunGP...
There is now a better solution for TV-Out on the Wiz. This program was recently added to FunGP. I have tested it with my GP2X official TV-out cable and it works perfectly! There is some frame loss I noticed when running some emulators though. I haven't tried overclocking the program, but...
I have a question about clockspeed. If I have Ginge clocked at 650 mhz, and start listening to music in the GP2X music player, is Ginge now running at whatever clockspeed the music player defaults too? I'm thinking no, but figured I'd ask.
Notaz, I don't mean to derail all the LCD talk but this caught my curiosity a couple weeks ago. I was just curious if you knew about this and if it was already implemented in Picodrive? If not, would it be a big performance hit? The sound emulation in Picodrive is great and I'm not saying it...
What about the old "Gamma correction" and A_SN's gamma curve options? Those aren't in there anymore, at least not in the Wiz version.(sorry I don't own a pandora) Would that help at all? Do GP2X owners have this issue on their LCD screens? I tried version 1.51 for gp2x in Ginge and then...
This is a very nice release! It's great seeing some 32x working. I know you've been putting a good bit of work into this while working on stuff for the pandora and Ginge. It is very much appreciated! Thanks again for this nice release.
I do have a question. Will the timing issues that...
I have not tried The Adventures of Lomax on the Wiz yet, but on my PSP with the psx popstation emu it does the same thing with the sound. The speed is great on the psp, but the sound slows down as well. So it could just be that the game is a bitch to emulate correctly.
eboots? Isn't that the psp psx format? I doubt those are supported. If you have an eboot file I know there are converter programs to make them into an ISO file. Most psp homebrew sites have those utilities.
