I feel the exact same way about my Sony PRS-505. Have you ever used Calibre with it? I think it would be a cool program to get working on the Pandora too. It's open source and written entirely in Python and works on Windows, Macs and Linux.
Don't forget about a lot of college kids too. Some parents give their 22-23 year old's christmas gifts still.
That being said, I am 23 and I did buy it with my own money. I plan on contributing to this community as much as I can. I'm newer to the forums but I have had my eye on this project for...
The unit includes an Unique Dual Programable Gaming Buttons - Two completely user definable buttons to allow ultimate control over your gaming experience.

Sounds like you...
You need to recompile stuff so it will run on ARM instead of the x86 processor that most compiled programs are made for. So long as you have the source code and can make a few minor changes in some situations lots of stuff will work. Dependencies are also a concern.
A lot of programs could also...
People have in fact been kicking around the idea of making a torrent of all available files. I'm sure that there will be a bunch of mirrors popping up if anything happens. The archive is kind of bare at the moment though, so I don't think there will be too many bandwith issues. The files will...
