Post picks and first impressions of your shiny new Pandora here!

They certainly made the wait more enjoyable.

    People are watching us...

I don't get it. It's just a netbook - nothing new that I can see apart from the visually impressive but functionally questionable "LCD keyboard". No gaming controls = nothing much like Pandora.

So is there a queue or not?

My e-mail arrived overnight too. I feel a "YAY" coming on.

So is there a queue or not?

Dunny, you need to go off UTC timecode. IIRC UK at the time was in BST (Daylight Savings), which is UTC +1hr. So the other chap may be using BST while you're using UTC. Having said that, I'm at 14:57 UTC and no e-mail yet (while others who ordered later got theirs today), so I'm wondering if...

    PCB production continues (2011-01-04)

14:57:24 UTC here and no e-mail yet (Australia). Thought for sure I'd be in this next lot - fingers still crossed!

    Release Sparks

This looks great, I'll be sure to try it out when the Pandora's continue rolling out.

Refund required - Can it be made into a paypal account

That's what I was thinking... Still nothing has appeared that matches Pandora's usability. I doubt anything ever will for me, since I don't care much about "power" - I wouldn't be emulating anything it can't already do (I don't even plan on playing n64 or PSX), and it's at that sweet spot of...

    what game am i describing?

I'd say Trapef and Levi are both correct. Firepower 2000 was the US version of Super SWIV, and it certainly sounds like that - although it was a jeep not a tank.

Professor Layton VS Phoenix Wright, for the Nintendo 3DS

Yes. Although I haven't enjoyed Unwound Future as much as the first two Layton games, and I rarely (read: never, except open source handhelds) get new gaming hardware until it's been out for a year or two... But what a great concept!

General interest: What field of work are you in?

2IC at a defence simulation company.

    Investors...

I'd definitely look at a prospectus/business plan for this offering, it could have real potential.

Can someone test some software for me?

Is there an Oldplay port for Pandora? I used to love that on GP2X.

Halloween Retro Games "Playlist" - PSX and earlier

Pac Man, of course! Haunted House (Atari 2600). Castles of Doctor Creep. Friday the 13th (the NES version is a real fright!) Jack the Ripper text adventure on c64 - gruesome pics. Clock Tower on SNES.

    Panasonic Jungle

Hehe I missed the "old" DaveC :) Pandora has a great scene for <1,000 in the wild. No daily updates doesn't mean anything's been abandoned.

Castle Quest looks cool, I'll have to have a go at that. Daredevil Dennis, too. Never played a Beeb before, although I imagine Granny's Garden and Repton will pop up on this thread sooner or later :)

Awesome, In The Hunt works! I also liked seeing Hook, thanks, as I've never played it - looks fun.
