Plus, <1x scale for the "minor" screen would result in a loss of detail/readability. I guess an ~2.1x/1x might work for filling the width of the screen, but that might not be worth the trouble.
Edit: Something I might be more interested in is a 1.5x/1x vertical mode, preserving the DS screen...
I wonder, is it possible for user mode applications such as DraStic to detect closing the Pandora? It would be cool if that was emulated just like closing the DS (low power mode included), especially since there are a few games that actually use the clamshell closing as part of gameplay (e.g...
I deleted the one from the folder with my ROMs, and the issue seems to be resolved. (Note to all, this is a hidden file and the filename starts with a period)
I can confirm the "load new game" crash as well. Sometimes it's a lockup with black screen, sometimes just instant exit, and other times it actually works.
Just to make sure, did you include the Atrac3+ libraries described here? http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=3755
I noticed this version didn't even ask me to download them, so I don't know.
Atrac+ sound doesn't work in Steins;Gate, at least (haven't tried any other games). Easy to check, the title screen is missing music as well the videos that play after waiting at "Press START Button", and the videos when starting a new game. Playback of the videos is working nicely though...
I just tried with frameskip disabled, the glitch is still there (even without the enhanced res speedhack). The glitch is not present for normal resolution mode, though. It does look like something weird is going on with double buffering.
There's an annoying bug in the enhanced resolution mode that should be pretty easy to fix. For games that change the size of the render area, it doesn't seem to black out the unused area of the buffer (or at least not both of the double buffers) so there's some flickering with parts of the...
Somehow, in the newest version I can actually make progress in Hotel Dusk (i.e. select the bell at the front desk). Though, it is the kind of game that has some graphical glitches when frameskip is turned on, so I might have to wait a while before it's completely "playable".
Edit: In fact, it...
What model and clockspeed are you running at? I've had some similar random hangs when overclocking, even at what I consider "safe" overclocks (1.1GHz on my 1GHz model).
On the other hand, using == does not mean that it is true, as the entire statement could output false.
How about:
assert(Link==Awesome);
Since the universe hasn't crashed, we can assume this is true.
As mentioned earlier in the thread, I've been having occasional crashes at "stable overclocks" and not at lower clocks, and I suppose it might be possible that it's because the emulator currently uses the VFP? Maybe when it becomes NEON-based later we'll be able to clock higher more stably...
I'm hoping we can set up some advanced simulated touch controls in the future. For example, mapping an analog nub to simulate touch in a circle around a certain point on the touchscreen when the nub is outside of a dead zone (I'm looking at you, Super Mario 64 DS, but this might be useful for...
I ran the stress test for a long time last night, it stabilized at 1194MHz (stayed there for 3-4 hours with no errors). I guess it still could be an overclocking issue, I'll just have to keep testing I suppose. I was able to replicate the Ghost Trick crash (crashed in a slightly earlier place...
The CPU stress test just went up to 1200MHz with no problems, so I'm thinking that's not the issue here. (I didn't mention this, but I am running on a 1GHz model)
Edit: I'll still try to reproduce at 975MHz.
Edit2: Can't seem to reproduce. This makes me a sad panda since apparently I can't...
Yeah, I got a random full freeze in SM64DS too, after just leaving it alone for a while in the castle area. Might be some weird randomly occurring problem :/
Edit: Maybe even a problem with running at 1100MHz, but I never really had an issue before...
It loads ROMs for me, for what it's worth.
I played some Ghost Trick, and just after rewinding time for the first time my Pandora froze up completely, had to hard-reboot :(
