    Mame-williams: Gp2x Mame (robotron)

I've been trying to make this work for a LONG time (he was nice enough to let me look at it early) and that is the EXACT same error I get and have always gotten. I really hope we can run this down ... I wanna PLAY! ;)

    Gp2psx V0.10

Question: I've been trying Muppet Monster Adventure (don't ask - its my wife's favorite game - if there is ANY chance of getting a SECOND GP2x in the houes, this is it). The ISO as is is too big for my 512MB card. So I use PocketISO - tried TONS of different things - all give me a LOADING...

    Dragon's Lair - Space Ace - Etc

Yeah, I'm throwing down and trying to get people to contribute (giving away some show DVDs). I really want to get them the hardware they need ... I'll lose my MIND to play Space Ace on a portable.

So, did we figure out precisely what causes UP to not work, even though everything else does? This could drive me to drink.

    Duke3d

I, too have the dreaded "Up doesn't work" problem. I've tried several copies of Duke3D (alas, I don't have the atomic one laying around). But, as a side note, Start+Select doesn't get me back to the menu either, so ... Anyone else have these problems? Resolutions?

    Duke2x Woes ...

So much for following the instructions to the letter ... I'm such a LIAR ... ;) Thanks, that's the trick :)

    Duke2x Woes ...

Alright ... I've given it a good go on my own ... I must be missing something. I've followed the instructions to the letter. It boots, gets me to the main menu. ANY option I choose causes the menu to disappear (backdrop is still there) and then the whole thing hangs. Power cycling is...

    Frodo...

My copy of Bruce Lee works :) Using FrodoPC :) Keep searching until you find a copy that has a REFLEXIVE SOFTWARE MENU boot screen. That one works.

Soft Boot? Anyone Else Dyin' For This?

Is anyone else interested in a SOFT BOOT? I truly fear with all the crashing, hangs, and batteries puking in a couple hours - I'm going to wear this ON/OFF slider switch off before the firmware is even stable! So, is there ALREADY a soft reset? If not, am I the only one interested in this...

Discussing The Usb Blues (possible Solutions)

Alright, here are some observations I've made with regards to USB connectivity with GP2x and Windows XP SP2. Maybe this will be useful to someone. My first attempts to plug it in resulted in a NEW HARDWARE FOUND scenario, but subsequently followed with THERE WAS A PROBLEM ... so while it...

    Gp2x User Guide Preview Release

Useful to know that currently there is NO MPG support in the movie player (no, using an AVI container doesn't work - renaming the MPG to AVI doesn't work). So, you may want to remove that until we get something official on the MPG thing. I can also tell you that XVID codec appears to work fine...

    Frodo...

Don't forget to try 1541 EMULATION ON ... many custom disc loaders will crash or no longer work if you don't do it the 'slow' way.

Who Do I Gotta Pay For Mpg Support? :)

VirtualDub is fine, but AutoGK is THE BOMB ... Thanks for looking into the container deal for me. :) I guess I'll be patient.

Who Do I Gotta Pay For Mpg Support? :)

Thanks :) I even attempted to use AutoGK to convert to XVid (Divx leaves a HORRIBLE taste in my mouth ... long story ... but suffice to say, I'll never support the format - Xvid owns) without luck - playback is horrible. Sigh ... I would LOVE to drop a ton of music videos on this thing ...
