Linux Command Help (Yes I read the man page, first.)

Seriously, it's embarrassing to ask, and I have no idea how to search for this with Google I'm pretty comfortable with the linux terminal. On Windows, I could move all the zip files starting with the letter A to a folder named A like so: MOVE A*.zip A Linux I try: mv A*.zip ./A/ No dice. What...

    DS emulator.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NO$GBA Wow... I remember using NO$GMB back in the day. I remember with the sound turned off, I could play GB games at 100%ish speed on my 386DX2... most of my early game playing was Gameboy... BTW... I can't wait for the next version of lemonboy2x, because the...

    Lets Talk Usb Accessories!

Wow, really cool Matthias. You should do a write up on how it's done and post it on something like Hackaday.

    Batch 2 Release Date

The assembly center is in TX?!? How did I miss that. I live in TX. I suppose my Pandora is going to fly all the way back to the UK before it makes it's way to me? :(

    Sand, Grit, Etc

Design's a bit different I suppose, but I used my GP2X constantly outside in the desert for about a year with not much trouble. Had a MK1, so I had to blow the sand out from under the joystick occasionally with some canned air... I would have killed to be at the beach instead of in the middle of...

links to forum from official website a little borked

Why should there only be one forum? Does it really matter? If people want to post here, they will post here, if they want to post on the other, they will post on the other. So, for any one subject there can be only one forum? :| So, discusscooking.com, cookingforums.net, and cheftalk.com...

can someone block these porn adverts

I'm a US soldier working in IT. (I don't have a job to do, unless something breaks.) So, yes, I browse the internet quite a bit while I'm working. (I'm payed salary anyway. :P ) Not going to get fired, but I might have to explain why there was porn on my screen.

    Question about blogging

I don't see why you shouldn't. I'm pretty sure as long as you're not hotliniking images, etc, there's no rules saying you can't link to anything on the web. Go ahead and spread the word. :D

Windows XP and Windows 7 on ARM.

While we're on the subject. Every time I've switched to linux for any amount of time, I've found certain "deal-breakers" that made me switch back to Windows. Although, when I installed Ubuntu for the first time (Edgy), everything did just work hardware-wise for me. I was a little apalled that...

I did. Fortunately my female boss was facing the other direction at the moment talking to someone else. That could have been bad...

    For Craig

UK/Ireland - Jam = almost any fruit based spread. Unless it's Oranges in which case it's Marmalade, bits or no bits. Jelly - Gelatinous moulded Dessert gunk, 'Jello' in the US. Very difficult to spread on toast, futile given the results. So even things that don't have chunks(bits?)? Like no...

    For Craig

IDK... IIRC, jam and jelly are two different things where I'm from (US). Jelly is made from fruit extract or juice and jam is made from the whole fruit. For example, strawberry jelly (no seeds), strawberry jam (seeds). Not sure it has anything to do with what side of the pond you're on...

    Problems with IE7

I know that it's not something that could be fixed without more information. I was just wondering if there were other people that were having the same issue. No worries.

    Problems with IE7

I seem to be having problems posting on this board from IE7. I'm not even sure this is going to post, but whenever I click either the Submit or Preview button, it brings me back to the compose page and doesn't preview. The board was working for me fine a couple days ago, but I can't seem to post...

    Re-purposing your GP2X

Ha! I hadn't really thought about that. My eldest child is five, but I'm not sure he's up to the task of using something like the GP2X. I suppose with GMenu2x set up with only the games he'd play he could handle it.

    Pandora as server?

Not very powerful, but even shomething like http://lifehacker.com/5266621/what-would-you-do-with-a-40-computer. There's quite a few plug type computers on the market, actually.
