IPs work pretty much the same on adhoc wireless that they do with a router... just use IPs in a private range 192.x.x.x, 10.x.x.x and match the subnet mask (ie. 255.255.255.0). No need for a gateway address. Most of the time (Windows and Linux) you have to manually specify the IPs for the...
Are you using the same username and UID on the same partition with two different distros? I did that once and there were some conflicts because of different versions of software.
I find it useful to use a different username (same UID for file permission purposes), so I can just make symlinks to...
I think most Devs are waiting for the Pandora to be closer to release to start uploading their projects to the file archive. Why fill up the archive with multiple working versions when they still have Two Months™ to work on their project?
Just joking, but actually it wouldn't be a bad idea to have it also do red light, for light discipline in the field. We use red lensed flashlights when we absolutely need to use a light source sometimes (instead of night-vision goggles).
Not that I actually plan on using it in the field, but...
In regards to Ubuntu, I'm considering switching because of all of the crap that they've done to the distro recently... when I can install the newest version of a Distro after leaving it 3 years ago and have hardware that worked out of the box on Edgy Eft that doesn't work on Jaunty... something...
I for one would love to see this feature... there are so many great 2 player SNES games that beg for online matches... although finding someone that is also playing the same game at the same time you are might be a challenge.
Pretty new to the Linux scene, but I'm not sure you'd want to use a journaled filesystem on a SD card... wouldn't that add a lot of overhead and slow down the writes?
I'm not sure which kernel they added ext4 support in, but I'm not sure I'd trust it myself (look at the issues Ubuntu Jaunty had...
I for one really enjoyed Craig's video on the roof, although it was a bit predictable... after seeing him fall and skin his leg (which I know he didn't do on purpose), from the moment he went on the roof, I knew he was going to take a tumble.
The bit about the Wiz hitting him in the head was...
So far the only threads on this site for the Pandora have been ignorant idiots that call Linux homebrew "bunch of those tux linux games", say it has no worth because big developers won't make games for it, or who claim it's not open because you can't "download hardware"... whatever he meant by...
My interest in the Pandora has not waned. It still does what I expected it would do when I ordered it and will still do it when I get it.
All these people that are concerned that it's no longer unique, because there are now similar OMAP powered (certainly not with as many features) products...
Hmm... no error messages. Just shows the little mini-man page usage notes text.
Problem is, I'm at work (on my windows box) and I posted this thread on a lark and I'm typing the command from memory. I'll try it again when I get home then.
Thanks.
