Phew... yeah I'm a little against convergence, because it can dilute a device's primary function, but that complete opposite end of the spectrum is a scary possibility that I had not considered. Can you imagine having a separate device for every possible thing you could need a handheld for? I...
I use Verizon... which is pretty good. The Data plan is decently affordable... $30 for unlimited data on your phone and $30 more for pairing and 5GB. Unfortunately the 3G coverage in the Fort Hood area is spotty, so my data is usually 1XEV, but it's usually pretty fast.
The best thing about...
I've paired my blackberry with an Ubuntu computer before. Just had to edit one config file and do the pairing in the bluetooth manager and was up and running I no time. I didn't need any specific drivers as my dangle was recognized automatically.
Verizon here in the states isn't bad. I get unlimited Data usage on my Blackberry for $30 and adding pairing to the account for $15. Unlimited data on the computer is capped at 5Gb... Not bad considering I can watch YouTube and a few other video streaming services on my phone and I have wifi at...
If I can learn to type on my Blackberry Storm, I'm certain typing on this will be a snap... (seriously RIM! The screen is a button!) I like it, but it was a pain to learn.
With a small plug adapter, it fits well on wall sockets, and power strips in the US... just imagine trying to fit this:
on a US power strip with an adapter... PITA... if you ask me. I've actually got a few things with that plug, because I travel to the middle east occasionally.
I'm just hoping I can pair it with my blackberry for internet... And i'll probably finally break down and buy a nice pair of bluetooth headphones to share between them. I'm curious if I'll be able to use my Pandora as a backup battery for my phone via USB too.
Sorry, I need it for myself. I'm going to put myself into the transporter buffer with it stuck in a diagnostic loop so my pattern doesn't degrade. My Two Months will be instantaneous!
I just think the fuss over the swine flu is a little over the top. Although it was nice to be able to stock up on cheap bacon as the fearful ignorant masses stopped buying pork because they heard the words "swine flu".
Still think it would be easier to use a LiveCD, wubi, etc. The Ubuntu LiveCD has gparted on it.
Paragon Partition Magic is a beast and has messed up way to many partitions for me to trust it.
And even some the antibodies can be good for a lifetime, because the virus doesn't mutate quickly or at all. I got immunized for chicken pox when I was eight and I've had three of my kids get it and I was able to take care of them without catching it again.
I understand why they wouldn't want an open format to be stardard, but what justification could they give... aren't standards that the W3C make supposed to be open and therefore using an open container format would make sense.
