It works for Mame ; finally will be able to enjoy sf zero without opponents being too easy and running out of time quickly , thanks a bunch !
But for some reason cps2emu hates me and doesn't run the roms even I do everything according to the documents. Isn't there any way to use service modes...
Thanks ! In fact I've never gotten to use cps2 emu due to cache file problems and waited until fba2x comes out to make use of cps2 on my gp2x. But i think I'll give it one more try.
Also how to do it in pc ? Is it also possible on mame ? (I'm using mameplus). Or do I need another emu like kawaks ?
I wondered if there are any switches in cps2 games or any other way to make configurations for them ?
I mean like when playing neogeo games on mame you go to 'dip switches' menu and then choose home or arcade mode ; free play - on etc .And then you can use options menu in game and make time -...
I've been using latest Gngeo2x and all my games have been running nice free of issues.
After using Fba2x thought graphical frontends are nice and decided to use rage2x with my Gngeo2x.
But even I used the latest version and all my roms normally work about 1/4 of them aren't listed in rage2x...
Being delighted to see Fba2x being able to play all the cps2 titles without gfx dumps ; I wondered that if it can be possible in the future that it also plays NeoGeo games without cache files ?
Does anyone know how to (or is it possible to) enter the 'dip switches' menu ; where you can set games to home mode ; change difficulty , round times etc ?
I know it is documented as 'left shoulder button' ; but nothing happens when I press it. I'm using unibios by the way
Yep ; you need one for each rom and they are put in the roms folder of the emulator.
I personally couldn't get them to work even with the cache files I built according to instructions ; ended having to download the roms with pre configured cache files from torrents.
And also Fba2x can already...
Also it always starts in unscaled mode and with a small display on the upper left of the screen ; even if it's set to full screen scaled mode and exit that way properly.
When I go to the options menu it already shows as full screen and after returning back to game it displays full screen as it...
From my point of view :
Unless you're going to use it heavily for applications that make use of touchscreen ; get the F100.
Of course ; unless you tried and didn't like the F100 joystick and want one with a d-pad. I like the F100 controller ; anyway
If these aren't for you ; I personally...
Did you check the bios file's (neogeo.zip) contents to see if it matches to the one in document of the emu ? And does the same bios run fine on Neoragex pc or mame ?
Unibios runs well ; download and try it if you're using a different one.
For psx emulator ; try with a different bios ; also make sure it's renamed correctly as the emu will recognize it
No idea about quake2 , though. sorry about that
Great release ! It looks like fba2x is being updated faster than people can test and comment
Anyway ; here's the previews pack for it. Credits to pedator from gp2xspain

CPS2 - Changed memory management - all games are playable without needing cache archive
It already played all CPS2 games that are compatible without cache files
Does it mean it now plays all CPS2 games ?
There are some players but from my experience flashes on gp2x don't work so well ; at least ones I tried ; including some interactive animations and dating sims didn't run at all or looked very bad.
You can check them here

good luck
In fact DS has lots of them ; not only Kanji dictionaries ; but lots of Kanji & Japanese study - drill games.

Too bad GBA had so little of this stuff and no dictionary at all <_<
