    Psx4gp2x Dynarec Status Update

I finished Castlevania SotN juste a few months ago, and Oddworld last holidays. Many people think of FF7 as a legendary japanese-style RPG. I'm not even speaking of 3D Games, those are just (mainly) 2D games with a little 3D, they have all entered the pantheon of video game, and they have great...

    Psx4gp2x Dynarec Status Update

I think we ALL know by now that you can only overclock to 240Mhz <_< Why do you always have to negate all efforts put into the GP2X?? You don't even have to post here since you aren't interrested in PSX and are convinced it can't be good on our handeld... The majority of us would really LOVE...

[gpsp] Exophase Has Done It Again! Incredible!

This must be important, because it's been a while since I last saw Una-i on this forum! Have you all been working on PSX4GP2X in secret?!? After the out-of-nowhere GBA emulator, PSX emulation would be the holy grail for the GP2X!!

    Complete Noob Questions

With the oldest firmwares you may brick youre GP2X while upgrading. It may not be a great chance, but there's still a risk. However, i don't think you will find such old firmware even on Ebay but who knows? I think any firmware over 1.4 should be safe, but I don't really know as I wasn't there...

    Thinking About Buying A Gp2x...

Hello! Forget about playstation for a while, it exists as a proof of concept and the only game I found playable was Oddworld, which have too many graphical errors. However, most games runs OK, but very slowly Apart from that, everything from 1970 until GBA, Snes, NeoGeo or MegaCD is playable...

Or you can plug the AC adapter and don't bother about battery life, overclocking and charging... GP2X battery life is not as good as DS, and a good charging can take up to 15 hours! But of course if you ONLY want to play on the move, an AC adapter won't be of much use :)

    Complete Noob Questions

In my opinion the most important is the GP2X of course, the AC adapter (because batteries runs out fast, especially if you overclock, what you will need for NeoGeo), and carrying case! Buy a TV-Out if you want to Then go to the shop, buy yourself a SD Card and a set of batteries with charger...

    What About Open2x?

I really don't think Linux should becoming 'worn out' by some crashes... Programs don't have to write into the system files (at least not in the important ones) But one could ever write a program that clear the whole NAND, make it look like a game, and spread it over the GP2X forum... about that...

    What About Open2x?

Glad to hear almost everything is going fine! I'm really looking forward to try the result of your efforts :) As for HTTP server, I think the most important is Samba and Telnet (useful for developpers)

Sd Card And Internal Memory = Same?!?

Did you tried reinstalling the firmware?

    What About Open2x?

Given GP2X's battery life, I don't think it is a good idea to have it in sleep mode for a long time like DS with its 15+ gaming hours :) But it's good for taking a break without shutting it off! So finalyl i don't think saving on the SD card would be a nice idea :) But disabling all components...

    What About Open2x?

About sleep mode : how would it be implemented? a key-combo? or handled by softwares? (for example, a sleep option in menues, and in GP2XMB) It's a good idea for a 10mn pause, but unfortunately it won't be as practice as seen on the PSP (because it would still be switched on) Or would it be...

Fun With My New Gp2x, And Some Questions...

DrMD is discontinued, you should try Picodrive :) It uses both CPU, you can quicksave/quickload with shoulder buttons, and you can use in-game saves! Other famous emulators are PocketSNES for SNES, gpsp for GBA, GnGeo for Neogoe, Mame for arcade, Cps2emu for CPS2... THey are all very good...

    What About Open2x?

Hurray for GP2XMB :D Gmenu has proven its qualities, now we have to give a try at GP2XMB As long as it is easy to install GMenu... Having multiple solutions have always been the best solution ;) And about a release... we are all curious : do you have a planning? The only thing I...

    What About Open2x?

Am I the only one to like GP2XMB? I think it looks nice (animated backgrounds and icons) and is very simple to use. A good mix between the original systeme (look for apps in the file system) and a shortcut-based GUI. I personally don't use THAT much applications! Why would anybody have links for...

    What About Open2x?

So do you think it is easily possible to create a ramdrive (virtual drive located in RAM) to enable file transfert between different cards? It would be a cool bonus :) and why not load small programs in it, so that they could run faster? like 32mb ramdrive + 32mo ram :) Would it be useful? I...

    What About Open2x?

Whhoow this answer exceeded what I expected :) And it is all very good news! So you want to use a packet manager? this would be a cool feature, if only it is supported by developpers. It allows a Unix-like software handling : You put a package file on the card, and the package manager installs...

    Gpsp2x Goes Public With V9008!

Glad you liked my country ;) laetst build is .9008, I think Zod added some sync(). I have no problem with SRAM or savestates with the latest version. I also experience crashes, but very few and random. I don't play many different games, though. Take care with config files : some holds SRAM...
