Re-downloaded and even tried another SD card.
I'm at least happy to hear I'm not the only person with this problem. Hopefully the cause can be tracked down.
Has anyone been able to get this to work with FW 1.5? I don't have trouble with any other emulators or apps on my Caanoo. This hangs every time on startup, no matter what. I'm also starting it through the Caanoo menu and not another frontend, like Gmenu2x.
I can't get this working at all. It simply hangs at the menu, with a loud hissing sound (even though the volume slider is all the way down). I tried the 'fast' executable too, but that doesn't even load to the menu.
Cthulhu32,
You've just made my day! Hopefully you'll be able to work through the SDL issues and get full framerate gameplay from your port. Looking forward to trying it!
I couldn't disagree more. I've had absolutely no issues playing any fighting games with the analog nub. It's more accurate than both my Wiz and A320. There's a pretty strong resemblance to the Neo Geo CD gamepad, which is largely considered to be one of the best gamepads for fighting games...
Pandora development is slow because so few people have their units. It'll pick up once the first batch has fully shipped. Emulation is still further ahead on the Pandora, as they have emulators for systems we don't (C64, Amiga) and other emulators work better (NES, SNES).
By that Logic, Yabause should run pretty flawlessly on netbook computers since they're much more powerful than the Pandora, which isn't the case at all.
You won't regret it.
I own a A320 and the Caanoo. I had a Wiz too, but sold it as I hated the controls. Even though the Caanoo doesn't have as much software as the A320, it's the system I carry around now. The main thing I'm hoping for at the moment is a solid NES emulator. The current one...
I'm wondering why you think this. I believe it's only a matter of time before the Caanoo has all the emulators and software the Wiz currently has. The new design of the system makes it much more attractive to buyers than the Wiz. In Hong Kong, stores have even started replacing their stock of...
Typing "J" ill give you the load command. Then hold the left trigger and click "P" for double quotes.
Hope that helps :)

If you were to create an emulator from the ground up, optimizing it for the platform, then you wouldn't have this problem. When porting an emulator from another platform, you'll usually need more horsepower to run it. When looking at an emulator like this, it doesn't make sense to re-write key...
Will there be an update to this to support overclocking? My main issue with this emulator is that it runs extremely slow. Hopefully an overclocking option would be able to fix that.
I've also run it to ROMs which seem to crash the emulator during load. I'll report back with more information...
Is there still a new version needed to support overclocking, or will the current version overclock with the 1.5 firmware?
BTW, this is an awesome emulator! It's not listed on OpenHandhelds though, so I think there might be a bunch of people who don't know about it.
I'll answer your Sega Master System question. Picodrive does play the games perfectly. There's another emulator, SDL_SMS, available as well. I prefer Picodrive though.
