I have a ridiculous number of handheld systems that support emulation, including the Pandora and GCW Zero. The Caanoo is still my go-to system. I highly appreciate the effort to update software for this system!
I'm continuing to keep my fingers crossed for a Lynx emulator.
I could have sworn that someone released OpenJazz for the Pandora a couple years ago. Looking on the repo, no such release is present.
Is DOSBox the only way to play this game on the Pandora, or is the OpenJazz release posted elsewhere?
After playing around with the 1.0.9.2 build, I've found that the 16:9 issue doesn't affect all games. Neo Geo games play in 4:3 and so does Chase HQ. Other games like SF2, Progear and Snow Bros all stretch to 16:9
Just gave this a try and it looks great. Just one thing I noticed is that games seem to always be stretched to a 16:9 ratio (even if scaling is off). Is there any way to preserve the 4:3 ratio of games?
Why are you so eager to blame the emulators? From the problems you've described, it seems pretty obvious you don't have a proper BIOS. Even Handy told you that the checksum doesn't match, yet you chose to ignore the message and continue blaming the emulator that it wasn't working.
You're too kind.
That pic was taken a few years ago after getting engaged. My wife isn't much of a gamer, but she's very supportive of my hobby. Still not a single complaint or rolled eyes after acquiring 61 game consoles :D
I just loaded the latest build of Linapple on my Panadora, along with the 1.52 Super Zaxxon update. I have the same issue with Conan. The character won't move unless you press B while moving the nub.
This is incredible! The various graphic glitches I've run in to have been resolved and the emulation is silky smooth. Any chance for this update to be ported to the Caanoo?
I've successfully been using them for years without any problems. Having problems with rebuilt sets is usually due to problems with the DAT file used or incorrect settings in cmp.
