Well nevermind, the install guide for minsys turned out to be the most unhelpful thing possible, so I gave up. What a complete waste of time. <_<
EDIT: Er... Actually I may be making some progress... Please ignore my negative comments for they are frequent and often followed by comments...
I want to try to compile minivmac to see if it will just run on the GP2X... Then maybe upload the source for someone to code in mouse support, etc later. But the thing is, I haven't a clue how to do it on windows. (windows XP 64 bit) I've compiled on Linux before, but my experience there is...
Why not have 3D? It will make for more interesting homebrew. There's nothing to lose by having it... A 3D chip would mean the possibility of getting faster PSX emulation and maybe even N64. It would be a good thing...
Analog doesn't neccessarily go with 3D, look at the PSX (pre dualshock) or...
You should be able to do it with a custom cable and the USB drivers on gp2x.de
Oh, and some scripting probably, since the GP2X GUI won't let you access anything but NAND and SD as far as I know.
Would it be possible to run a GP2X like handheld on an X86 AMD Geode CPU? They only pull 0.8W / 1.8V @ 200Mhz and 1.4W / 2.2V at 333Mhz... They have an FPU too... They don't need a heatsink either. There is another Geode CPU that can do 533Mhz at 1.1W. How much power does the backlight and LCD...
I see... Well, what development environment should I use for the GP2X? I've been wanting to learn to program, so I guess I'll try on the GP2X.
EDIT: Oh, I see... Smallbasic is the dev environment...
