Poll: Do You Like Keybord Font.

Indeed, it would be foolish to make the keyboard with paragraph symbol but without pipe or star. On the other hand, I like the idea to put / and . on two separate but close keys . I do not so much like location of , and - it would be better to swap them, so that . and , do not share the key...

    Second Batch?

ASK and you will know. Because you are ordering from outside of UE, you might not need to pay VAT, and this is the difference (19%) between the former and the latter price.

There Was A Small Problem At The Bank Doing A Bank Transfer (swift)

yes indeed. It's similar to BIC/SWIFT, in a sense that they both are used to identify bank and branch. I do not think there is direct mapping, though.

    An Old-timer Is Back Again

No need to call Craig. It's on the web site http://www.gp2x.de/shop/product_info.php/products_id/114 : price €299 includes German VAT 19% (the shop is in Germany, not in UK - it's quite apparent from the URL). Net price would be €299 / 1.19 = €251 which, at the moment, is little under $330.

    American Express

lack of trust, as you should realize by now, is entirely incompatible with the whole idea of preorders. This is further exaberated by the fact that banks refuse to take the risk on them either. I hope CC orders will be eventually available to you and you will like what you ordered. I, for one...

Blog Post.. China New Years? I Thought Made In Us?

what, are you implying that everything made in US is low quality ? Like cars or credits ? :D Ok, just kidding. More to the topic. I was following these threads and my impression was that the final assembly as well as chips and board are US made. Less demanding parts, like case and LCDs...

When Do We See A Finished Pandora?

... and if CraigX wins small claim, but HSBC still refuses to pay the money ... http://www.businesslink.gov.uk/bdotg/actio...emId=1073791109 :P Of course, that would kill global financial system

    Minor Re-payment / Preordering Update

I am not surprised. Money are produced out of debt and the banks carry risk of this operation (they lose real money if debt turns bad). Credit card transactions are the second biggest source of individual debt, just after mortgages. For those who have not noticed, banks are these days crushed...

    Kin's Graphical Corner

I like the one with black backgound better. One thing I do not like : two pandora logos is one too many. I propose to remove the one in front of "pandora" .

    Pandora In The Future

    * and definitely AMOLED screen. I have MP3 player with AMOLED and it's gorgeous. Contrast and colour better than plasma, it simply beats everything (no kidding). * would be nice to have builtin 3G/GPRS and GPS. I plan to tether my mobile, but separate SIM card would make things simpler...

Finally... A Usb Modem That Doesent Stick Out

USB is serial communication (not everything "serial" is RS-232), and I believe it is capable of transfers well beyond 7.2 Mbps .

    Transfers... Tranzfers..

Because, I suppose, it's illegal to majority of merchants in Europe. I guess only financial instutions are allowed to use stored CC data for shoppping (yes, Amazon is financial institution - http://www.fsa.gov.uk/register/firmBasicDe...s.do?sid=174355 )

May The Power Be With You

actually, no. You might need to replace the battery whilst on the long travel by air, but screwdrivers are considered "dangerous tools" by airport security and will be confiscated (I know it from experience). Of course, one can come up with something that does not look like a screwdriver at all...

How Long Can The Specs Stay Competitive?

Actually, I do. I am happy paying for closed source programs, if I can have better quality than getting something similar free and open source, as I do not have time for hacking anyway. I've seen lots of great open source stuff, but no great games - compared to commercial titles.

IMHO the size of these icons (and font below) should be read from the user settings, as to make them look consistently with desktop icons.

    What Would You Pay For?

Something to play Audible .aa files , so that I do not have to recode/decrypt them to mp3 (on another machine) before playing on Pandora. I'd be happy to pay for that.
