I have a question..
I come up with a out of memory error message when running Metalslug2.
Is that the graphics problem I hear about?
How can I get it to work...?
I tried using the dumpgfx program in Win xp but I can't get it to work.
thanks all
Its ummmm..... really really small. Thats not good at all for my big hands. Cute YES, but I am not in the market for it. If I wanted a smaller version of a PSP ..then maybe.
one more thing. I am no game coder, or developer. I know shit about code. But I do know games and truly respect those who put time effort and creativity into one.
Well,
I have always supported homebrew and emu developers since 1995. I believe ( like you) that this type of developing is the core and heart of everything else thats out there...commercially or otherwise.
If you made a game (any game) for the GP2x. I would buy it.
Like the GP32 (ANY ONE...
I really wanna know.
If you are a smart shopper.
AND you did your research thoroughly... you would know if the Gp2x is right for you. Why bicker and whine about what a system (that you purchased) you may have not completely understood what it was "all about?"
The Gp2x is just as good and...
you know I thought about using a thumb tack... but it just didn't work for me. I also tried to create this "nipple" looking D-Pad. Sounded good at the time... It was almost getting me excited.... Although, like makin love to a women, Control using the nipple really didn't work that well.
I...
that would be a great idea, A single centralized place to post all joystick mods for easy access and DIY help stuff. I second that.! * stands up and raises arm* :o
As annoying as it sounds to many who can't stand the many new joystick mod topics created everyday. I have but ONE more to add to the ever growing collection.
In the meantime, here is another new topic how I took the end of a plastic designer toothpick and dremeled it to fit my gp2x. Its not...
I am a new proud user of the Atari ST, (Virgin user and all) Will you be adding MSA file support? Most of the games I bought years ago are MSA. Thanks Skeezix
don't be too excited about tv out... I have the cable and it doesn't connect flush to the gp2x...therefore ....no video or scrambled signal (unless you hold the cable in tightly while the video plays.) It rather sucks if you ask me... anybody have any quick fixes here? Because I can't find one.
try holding the plug in more tightly to the gp2x ....I found that the tv out hardware is lacking severly ...as video will not show unless you hold the connector to the gp2x while watching a video.
If there is a way to connect the tv out better to the gp2x please let me know..
Ok so I just bought TTD from ebay. Dos version. When I explore the files...all I have is Install.dat
Install.exe
MPScopy.exe
MPSlabs.idx
PKunzjr.exe
All this found in the Tycoon folder/english.
Nothing else.
And obviously ..I can't install anything because of my win xp.
Where are those files...
First off, Encoding to Divx using Divx 6.x and using SOME other programs like the official divx converter. may cause this problem. It did for me. Try using pocket divx encoder, with the Divx 6 codec. The GP2x doesn't work 100% with the divx 6 codec. It all depends on what program encoder your...
I am not disappointed with the deadzone or the stick either. BUT I would like to always personalize and improve or change my gp2x. I am indeed very happy with what I have.
you guys don't forget when you flash the firmware. YOU MAY have to remove everything on your SD except just the firmware files to flash your gp2x correctly.
This is what I had to do....otherwise the movie player doesn't work and the complete flash isn't successful.
When your done remove the...
I was playing metal slug on my gp2x when all of a sudden my joystick was completely useless. No control or response. Just then I had a thought....it seems as though the stem of the plastic joystick rubs against the outer black plastic molding of the gp2x. For some reason (maybe if you press too...
no no the rapid battery consumption is still there, they just turned off the low led battery light completely to save on some MA's. I believe there may still be a small power leak out the tv out mode still... not sure about that one. There is still a very large draw, you just need to buy some...
My lcd screen flickered only slightly when on the original firmware. Thankfully after updating it to 1.01... it fixed the problem, completely. Thanks craigix for testing the units before sending them out. I do appreciate your extra hard work. I'll keep my unit. I'll work out any minor bugs I find.
