Will Pandora Satisfy My Music Needs?

Or you implement USB remote usage for some wired USB remote (I state wired as I imagine they use a lot less battery). Assuming the drivers would fit in the app, of course. It would have to be exceptionally tiny as it is! EDIT: Something like this...

    Interface On The Omap3

Is it me, or does it look a little on the juttery side? Nice interface, though, at least in theory...

    How's Picodrive Looking

Oh, I'm quite sure it'll mostly be worth it. But it will be an interesting balance to try and strike. That said, given the battery life increase once programs are aiming at "full speed as efficiently as possible" instead of "as fast as the CPU can make it go without any power saving features...

    How's Picodrive Looking

Wow... both those videos are insane. Not that I'll plan on playing any games at that sort of speed, but still... I'll definitely look forward to the underclocked Pandora versions of Picodrive. As has been said, battery life with this beast is going to be very good indeed. That said, I do...

Which Card Are U Planning On Buying

Well, I've just bought an 8800GT. I figured that, whilst it is on the older sideat the mo, it still produces very good benchmark results at the resolutions I'm using - HD just isn't something I'm interested in at the moment, so no need to jump into the next level up. As and when I do upgrade...

Added today's news on the beta battery life on SNES @ 500MHz (without optimizations) too.

    Custom Pandora

There are all sorts of answers to this question, but basically, it comes down to no. Read the FAQ for more info. Particular points: 1) No alternative CPUs. Keeping the Pandora a standard makes sure everything will always run on all Pandoras. 2) No custom cases. Small production runs make custom...

    Nintendo Ds Technical Hurdles?

The other interesting thing in terms of side by side screens would be having a bar down the middle of the screen that, when dragged, would set the central point between them, and resize accordingly. Personally, I'm still in favour of big screen/little screen, possibly with some overlap, though.

Will Pandora's Mame Port Match The Mame Project Versions?

As I understand it, the CPU doesn't actually change it's nominal clockspeed - it just doesn't do any work at all unless it needs to to maintain a certain framerate. So, in theory (and again, I stress this is me paraphrasing others - I may have it wrong), you could have Pandora at 500MHz and...

Any Snes Fans In The House?

Did someone mention a while back that Tetris Attack was an evil game from the point of view of most emulators? Maybe it'd be worth using that as a stress test. The Metroid video is definitely impressive, in particular. Those who've played Metroid to a decent way in: did the demo showcase any of...

Will Pandora's Mame Port Match The Mame Project Versions?

So effectively, 8.5 hours going full pelt? Which presumably means, once it has those wonderful power saving features that mean the CPU can work out how much power it needs to use and use only that, then battery life should be very impressive indeed. Especially when you consider that SNES (or at...

    Nintendo Ds Technical Hurdles?

It wouldn't be possible on the GP2x's TV-out. The Pandora, however, has independent output for screen and TV-out, so unless there are bandwidth issues with writing a lot of extra framebuffer (of course, there may be), split-screen via TV out ought to be possible. As I understand it anyway.

    Nintendo Ds Technical Hurdles?

Depends. The solutions to that come in several fashions. 1) Display two screens side by side, or vertically. Advantages: Both screens, and, if vertical, approximately the right size too. Disadvantages: They'll either be postage stamps, or awkward to use. 2) Display both screens, with one of...

Will Pandora's Mame Port Match The Mame Project Versions?

*Cracks whip* Back on topic! Talk about the financial markets needs to happen somewhere else. Interesting though it is, it certainly isn't anything whatsoever to do with Mame! Further posts on that here will be hidden as and when I see them.

Were Will I Hold All The Stuff?

In all fairness, if he does want to game on the iPod, there will in due course be the other project Craigix and co are working on to help him do it without loss of too much screen realestate. Personally, I think Pandora is a great deal, but so is the iPod touch; if it'll do what you need it to...

    Nintendo Ds Technical Hurdles?

Just a note: Yes there was an older topic, but talk about using the search function is most definitely off topic by this stage. No more please :). DS emulation on Pandora is going to be an interesting space to watch. I think we shall simply have to see what happens, as Exophase says, after release.
