I agree about the Lynx version. It's the best non-mouse controlled version that I've played and so would probably lend itself very well to the GP32's controller.

My general intention is to donate to the devvers who's software I actually use... crazy eh?
In reality the only emu that I use all the time is LittleJohn, so Yoyo got a donation. I used to use fSMS32 and fGB32 quite a bit and was poised to donate to Ryleh but got cheesed off with the saves...
Dunno if this is any use but a while ago I put together some docs for Speccyal K but I don't think _tyrell_ has ever included them with the releases.
Anyway, have a look here: Speccyal K Docs

EDIT: There's a zipped version and a PDF version too...

They could of course just tweak the internals to try and stop pirates, make a couple of costmetic changes, and add a headphones socket. I'd be surprised if they sold it alongside the current SP (as is said in the article). It's much more likely to be like Sony's tendancy to fiddle with their...
The worst bit was going all the way through the game and then when you get to the end no-one believes a word of what you tell them because you haven't made enough notes in your diary. That and all the wall climbing (which was clearly added in the pad the game out).

I actually feel quite guilty now because I've just realised something... (I hope) everyone that 'pushed the envelope' were doing so for comic effect and didn't really have any conviction behind it. However, those that were offended were genuinely ofended because they actually care about what is...
Being a lucky fuck, I can surf the net via the PC plugged into my TV and it must be said that I have had substantially more laughs from reading this forum tonight than I have had courtesy of the so-called comedy on Ch4 (Nathan Barley my arse).
It has just the right mix of mad anti-PC loonies...
When I had the original Korean firmware it worked a treat but since I flashed no matter what firmware I use I always have a silimar problem to the one above...
What I have found is it's an order thing...
Set the GP32 to link, then plug in the USB lead, then run GPManager.
Any other order and...
It's surprising how popular the idea of outputting handhelds to a TV seems to be - it gets asked all the time! It goes back years too... I was one of those that was gutted when the Lynx TV-Out that was promised many many moons ago never materialised.
Strange no-one seems too bothered the other...
I seem to remember Reesy saying that all the graphics routines would need rewriting (because they use the GBA custom chips) but the rest should be reasonably simple. There's also another PCEngine emu that has the source released, PceGP. Maybe it's possible to pinch the graphics routines from...
I know this is going to sound extremely sad... Given how often coders hard drives crash and they lose all their source etc (not very often but once is often enough) I have downloaded all the sources from the above link. I know I'm being paranoid, but... well... y'know...
If you have stumbled...
Nope.
A cut of EVERY PS2 game released goes to Sony regardless of who publishes it. PS2 games sell by the bucketload. Therefore Sony makes a fortune.

EDIT: A quote from GamesIndustry.biz:
The division (videogames) recorded revenues of 282.6 billion Yen (2.1 billion Euro) in the three...
Post your location and someone nearby may be able to lend you a USB cable.
EDIT: Just thought of something else... Maybe the previous owner flashed the firmware to a multifirmware. Try holding Select (or one of the other buttons) when you switch on. If you are *really* lucky you'll get a menu...
<Sigh>... Now I'm never one to say 'Use the search function' but seriously, we went through all this about a week ago with spaceboygp32x.
You need freelauncher. If you don't have freelauncher already you have to use the 'cracked' version because not having a cable means you can't register the...
As I said before, it all comes down to whether GP think that the revenue raised by the GP32 is worth releasing successor. I'm inclined to think that they do and they will.
The other issue is whether a successor would also be opensource in the same way as the GP32. Given that the success the...
You're kidding right? Sony have made a fortune off the PS2! They can initially sell the hardware at a loss because a cut of EVERY game sold goes to them. Eventually the cost of the hardware comes down as well and they make money there too. It's what they did with PS1, PS2 and will do with PS3...
Game production is becoming more and more like movie production. Hollywood makes the majority of it's money by producing a handful of mega-budget movies each year. These movies have to be a success so they tend to be 'safe', appealing to as many people as possible.
Then you have 'indie' movies...
Goddamn it - it's like deja-vu all over again! You didn't buy it from spaceboygp32x by any chance?
