Craig already stated that rumble and FM won't be included, I suppose that neither will bluetooth or IrDA... No loss , I wouldn't use them either, I was thinking of the rest of the possible users.
And why make this a phone when most people have tiny phones that they would prefer over this in the...
I don't want this to be a phone, I was just curious
I do think that bluetooth should be included if it really isn't going to cost too much, same for IrDA
Anyway, I'll be off, It's time for my "beer of meditation".
Well, you basically need all the usual buttons ( around 6 - 8 ), D-Pad, Two analogue sticks, speaker holes, volume wheel, status leds :) ...

I'm going to be executed on the Spanish forums for not providing them more info regarding the prototypes and the possible final look
"Not making the Gizmondo 2"... Hey, that's good news then B)

zaffercharles, sure, why not?... I think that the design itself could be very interesting...
Thanks Eolair, I didn't notice that I already had a RetroGrade  ( looks good )

zaffercharles That's an interesting idea, it could even be more comfortable if you round the edges a little :)
heh!, sorry about that, my camera is kinda messed up
The idea was to show the possible dimensions of the final device, I would guess that it'll end up being approximately the size of a GP2X, but without the battery area bump :)
I've updated the photo, now it also includes a PSP
ergonomy-wise, I would have the upper buttons tilted toward the front of the console, and the lower ones tilted towards the back ( giving a sort of rounded look ). :)
I personally prefer the traditional PSX shoulder buttons design :).
Comparing GP2X & PSP to Nokia N770... Imagine how small our new machine could be if designed well.
Heh!, I leave for a while and there is a lovely flame war, I miss all the fun
Nice design, most of the controls/buttons look quite well placed too :)
You should ban people for talking crap, sold has not talked crap
As I also said, if you think it's expensive, don't buy it... ( You will all buy it anyway ;) )
That's sounding nice, especially the NOT PSP stick
Any new news that you would like to share with us? ( I know the answer, but I had to ask lol )
And to all the rest, please don't ask for the SoC to be a cheaper and less powerful one... We want to take our new beast to the max!, a beast that will chew all of it's rivals and make peoples eyeballs fall out at awkward moments!
C'mon, let's just go for the best, I'm sure that it'll be...
Heh!, that sounds like one of James Bonds' new gadgets
Edit: Hmmmzzz... Analog above, D-Pad under, D-Pad acts as buttons in vertical mode... I need a beer I think :D
It's a very nice design, what worries me now, is where these two new sticks will get located...
Behind the unit?... Under the screen?, one under the dpad and another under the buttons on the opposite side?... Where the triggers would have been?.... ( Yes, I'm an innovator )
I need more info...
