As always should be noted that the first contact (if its about repairs) is the european AS-Center. They might repair it for you or maybe offer a source for a replacement. If that fails try digikey: they have tons of circuity and possibly screens too. They do ship in small quantities if asked afaik.
MagicISO works like a charm but is shareware too :(
Which game id does the Mortal Kombat Triology have? Maybe its a generic problem with PCSX-r ... You can find the id as the name of the inserted cd and in the root folder of the cdrom as a file named like "SLUS_999.99".
Thats exactly the problem i see in usual iso-game detection too. Current ROM schemes for systems like PSX do even disregard their own disc id. As for non-fixed-roms the single crc based detection is too simple minded.
The way i would proceed would be to have a file listing from the adf ordered...
Qtopia was a Qt-based distribution for pda makers. Afaik it is discontinued now but Qt embedded taken its place nowadays. Comes with its own tiny x11 server and just needs framebuffer and a few low level drivers available. (alltogether it should be a piece of cake). While the vintage opera port...
http://amanita-design.net/samorost-1/ works rather nicely. Classy adventure! However the level loading does not work.. so you better rename the level clips according to linear sequence. (one of the points the current player binary sucks at)
IMHO it would payout for GPH if played out correctly. Their flash port is a basically okish port however with quite some quirks around so in the end its not working as planned. I just think they are lacking the manpower to get it right, things need time & personal investment to shine. Apply the...
This one buggered me for quite some time and dates still back when GPH offered their GP2x as their main unit.
Has it been attempted so far to ask or persuade GPH officials to release (parts) of their launcher application or their flash player binary to a source-code release, probably under the...
Heard only good news from their A/S center so i guess its worth at least the attempt.
Has the kernel changed again in that release thats the question that buggers me?
What prospective homebrew would be available on DS platform worth the challenge to get them running. Although not fast enough for games, what about utilities?
On a sidenote: DesMuME is known to be slow. Especially when compared to NO$GBA which probably uses a good portion of assembly...
A few things to behold. The source Mplayer uses cpu-only decoding in contrast to the menu-Mplayer who can decode hardware-assisted. The latter being much faster ror that task. Don't expect miracles, if your desktop PC starts sweating and barely can do then the tiny cpu in the wiz who runs on a...
Having seen a few of these failed displays: the blob area to the right remarkably reminds me of the "battery low" imagery. And it reminds me of the OLED burn-in syndrome too.
Luckily my unit is working flawless. Bought 4th Q'09 and working fine so far. (just to stray beliefs that it's an all...
You are using the source-built MPlayer from archive i assume here. Thats the version which accepts nearly everything.
Check the configuration folder. There is a file called "extension". Edit it to contain "mp4" or "mkv", "flv" as you like. One extension per line.
Enuff said!
Hey dfTruF,
just to give a bit feedback. Game is in working state i'd say. However there are a few caveats even bugs.
* the split viewport which involves alot of clicking to be on the tracks
* multi-messages are not quequed like in original (with some delay) but instead overwritten:

Indeed there was a nice Moria port to AmigaOS:
http://www.lysator.liu.se/tolkien-games/entry/dungeons-moria.html
it features graphic tiles and the standard campaign ( e.g. slay the near invincible Balrog on level100+ ). I haven't tried it myselves on Wiz so its playability is unknown. However...
