Where Can I Get Pandora Analogue Joysticks?

Makes sense. Somewhere they must be just analogue!

    Pandora As A Remote Control

Yes, there will obviously have to be some compromise made... hence my pointing out the cirrus logic chip, though there are other ways of doing it.

Where Can I Get Pandora Analogue Joysticks?

They're I2C I think, maybe SPI. Easy to interface to for most things though. I think there would be a lot of interest in seeing these available separately. And by that I mean that I for one would be interested in seeing them available separately!

    Microphone Connection

IIRC you can also get stereo mics using the the ext port and the TV out connector.

There''''s Still Hope For Adobe Flash

If you liked that Tigra, have you seen these?: http://www.cogcomp.com/ OMAP3530 (Cortex-A8/DSP) SOM http://www.gumstix.com/store/catalog/produ...products_id=227 Gumstix Overo Fire Both 3530 based. I think the 3530 is better than the current Tigra models (since they are ARM11 based and 3530...

    Pandora As A Remote Control

Guys, there are two different kinds of IR (at least): IrDA is for data transfers. Some hacks exist to make these work as standard remotes on some devices, but they wont work with everything and would be a pain to get working at all I imagine- you can read more about this here...

Pandora Information On The Pandora''''s Ext Port.

Looks fine to me, and a great piece of work - well done! I would hope you are going to make a couple to test first before ordering that many, just in case something goes wrong!? You can get small quantities made and assembled for you at some board houses - they use spare space/cut-offs from...

    Release Some Dsp Codecs Out

@laurent: fair enough, I have to admit that I know nothing about these high end audio processors.what I know is the majority of fairly average SISO device (again using my example of programmable guitar pedals) use low end fixed point only chips...however they are basically only playing with the...

Yeah, me too. It's certainly got me hooked. I think we'd probably have to just start building a pandora ourselves somehow if that was the case.... just think of all the software that's already been written for it for starters, never mind the fact that we're all addicted to checking this forum...

lulzfish, thats pure genius! I'm meant to be packing my bags to catch a plane in the morning, for which I have to leave in 4 hours, but this goddamn forum keeps me coming back to the computer! My interest in the pandora clearly isnt waning....

    Release Some Dsp Codecs Out

Oh I think any sound system will work... what I said about /dev/dsp was probably confusing now I look at it again... /dev/dsp is the audio card device node on some linux systems... so that if you have no sound system installed but do have a driver you can do "cat /dev/dsp > somefile" to record...

    Release Some Dsp Codecs Out

Yes, compilation is done first. I've not used alsa, but I guess you'd just get the data from the DSP and then pass it to alsa using whatever mechanism it uses (or just spit it /dev/dsp and ignore alsa the dirty way hehe..no, only for testing of course)

    Release Some Dsp Codecs Out

I have to say I thought you were talking more generally than this - you would need books to answer that question in more detail than has already been here! I myself haven't looked into this more than fleetingly, but basically there are a whole load of linux devices that are used to communicate...

    Release Some Dsp Codecs Out

I haven't looked at the specifics, however I'd imagine that you'd buffer the data in the DSPs memory and then request it asynchronously in your main program running on the CPU whenever you need some results. Or the inverse when inputting data - you provide data to the DSP when you have some and...

    Release Some Dsp Codecs Out

Several people have already pointed out that a DSP is a general purpose chip (normally just means its good at (real-time) math)... I also wanted to point out that everyone talks about codecs running on the DSP and that codec means code-decode - thus from this you can infer anyway that it can of...

    Local Network

I've got one that looks identical to this: http://www.asia.ru/ProductInfo/63987.html Bought it at one of those 'poundland' or similar shops for £2.99 - works flawlessly with linux, and more importantly with my PXA270 gumstix (an ARM like the OMAP in pandora), no configuration required - just...

    Nonexistent Developer Community

Well, it sure sucks to be told you don't exist guys.... I guess they didnt notice the gaming controls, touchscreen, portability, or 10 hour battery life? Or that it won't have a half-arsed UI that sucks :D... to name just a few of the reasons it beats netbooks... Also, I am hoping it will have...
