How Many Have Moved To Smartphones?

I like having some phone games, but I really don't like having my battery eaten by playing games, so having a dedicated game system on me as well is always nice.

    And So It Begins (Again)

I haven't seen anything confirmed about it being an SD slot. It's some unnamed flash storage.

So What's The True Successor To The Gameboy/ds?

Long battery life compared to the competition was always a strong point of Nintendo's. SNK matched it with the NGP(C), but the GBA SP especially had a kickass run time. The 3DS now has 3-5 hours of life, the iPod touch 3-6 hours and I'd be hugely surprised if the PSP2 can exceed that. Any other...

Someone Need To Talk To Gph About That Analog Stick

Oh, I understand it just fine, but I find you all are a bit whiny about the whole situation. You complain that the Wiz has tearing, the Canoo doesn't have OLED, the PSP-1000 & 2000 has ghosting and the PSP-3000 has banding. Pick and choose, you'll have one issue or other that will bother some...

Someone Need To Talk To Gph About That Analog Stick

I haven't seen anything wrong with emulated Genesis or SNES games on the PSP. As for the market proving that people don't want new games. GP2X sold 60,000 units. That's nearing Gizmondo territory, so there really isn't much of a market for it at all. A few people are happy with it, but most...

Someone Need To Talk To Gph About That Analog Stick

What's the point? The Dingoo only plays emulators and a few native games. PSP and DS both have their own library of games, and in particular with the DS they can't even be emulated on anything else. In either case you get a much better overall experience with the PSP or DS, and given the...

Someone Need To Talk To Gph About That Analog Stick

I think it's rather bizarre. If you want a D-Pad, get a DS or a PSP - they have the best ones, and they run emulators. Then there are games the D-Pad handles horribly, like fighters. I'd think if they get MAME and CPS running on it, it should actually be reasonably solid.

    N900 Set To Fail

I haven't seen anyone straight up say the N900 won't get an official version. That's straight up conjecture without much basis as far as I can tell.

    News For Odrois-S (S5Pc110 1Ghz !)

That would be a deal breaker. I wouldn't mind seeing an O-Droid S Lite at $200. That's a very competetive price point, although at $300 it competes well with the iPod touch.

Woohoo, Nook And Kindle Just Dropped In Price!

$99 is the magic # for me too. I played with a Kobo E-Reader in Chapters which launched at $149, and it was pretty good, but I could do without the bluetooth, and I'd prefer a central D-pad.

    Its Decision Time

Err. Damn. Given that I'd pick the PSP-3000, but really the 2000 is the obvious choice (no lines across the screen, much better CFW capabilities). Only reason I wouldn't pick the DSi XL is I have rather small hands (although oddly enough for dual analog I prefer the Xbox Duke to the...

    N900 Set To Fail

It'll get MeeGo. The base is already out there, pre-Alpha will be released at the end of the month. The N900 is the device they'll be testing MeeGo on.

    The Nintendo 3Ds

People are talking about there being 4 year old technology in the 3DS, I don't see why they'd do that and have price as a barrier to entry. Nintendo has never launched an expensive handheld or a handheld with poor battery life. Those are two things you can count on, as those are two of the main...

No Cheat/action Reply Codes For 7Th Gen Consoles. Bummer.

Depends on the game. I wouldn't mind a cheat to get through the mindless grind of FFX-2 and finish the story.

    The Nintendo 3Ds

That makes sense - straight up in line with what Nintendo would do.

Why Do Console Makers Strip Obvious Features?

If you've got WiFi and cellular data turned on while playing the battery life will be sapped faster. If I'm on the go I make sure to turn WiFi off as it's useless while moving anyway.

    Caanoo At E3

I'm not sure it's underrated. While it had the hardware, in 1989 to 1990 going from playing someone else's Lynx to someone else's GameBoy, I didn't notice the lack of colours on the GameBoy. I also never played anything on the Lynx that drew me in as much as Super Mario Land - a game I still...

Got An Xbox 360? Hate The Crappy D-Pad?

How does a NES pad look internally? Obviously the internals matter, but what you can actually touch also makes something of a difference. You're not going to be able to hit diagonals as easily if you have to hit L + D at the same time.

Stop Telling Us You've Canceled Your Order

It is a bit odd, as now it's at least confirmed to not be vapourware. That said, now that people have actually reviewed them they might be seeing it's not something they want to wait for anymore. I for one, if I were considering buying it would be interested to know why someone else has...
