    GP2X Linux Toolchain G Gp2xdev-20060525.tar.bz2

Having the file isn't enough, you need to tell the compiler where to search for such file Try to include "-I/usr/local/gp2xdev/toolchain/gcc-4.0.2/fixincludes/tests/base/" into your gcc command line (best if you include it already in the main makefile), so the compiler will search in that...

    GP2X Battery Saving Time!

</pt_BR> You mount a folder from your PC on the gp2x? How? All...

    Ssh Into Gp2x

then you would have to build a package database on gp2x, which is already short of useful space (even more after you installed some internet applications) so I think [IMHO] that most people would rather copy the .gpe to the SD card as the usual way...

    Should The Gp2x Be Bought?

I think most people who bought a GP2X were looking to play emulators, so a gp2x is a known video-game-for-old-people, like me... I enjoy playing new games, but I also enjoy much playing classics/vintage gaming, the only drawback I think is that it's absolutely NOT portable to listen to your mp3...

    Project: Reduce Current Consumption :)

I'll buy 3.6 and 3.9V zener diodes to see if it does good But I'm not going to do 3.9V anytime soon, as I would kill myself if I discover that MK2 gp2x is less tolerant to overvoltage  I'm quite confident that 3.6V will work better and not going to harm anything..

If You Were Going To Design A Super-gp2x

Any reasonable memory dedicated to second processor, perhaps 1mb would be a minimum SDIO instead of SD (wi-fi) USB-host for devices < 100mA and/or powered hubs IR interface would also be great A not-so-simple battery charger, just add a NTC or PTC resistor and *perhaps* a dac (if not controlling...

    GP2X Battery Saving Time!

then you should go for the 1.35V, because my batteries do such thing with ease :] but I still should say that batteries of NiMH are not 1.2V by choice, if it is NiMH or NiCd you're limited to 1.2V multiples, as alkalyne batteries are tied to 1.5V and so on..

App That Runs Via Telnet Won't Run On Pc

did you compile your application as static? there's a low probability that your program uses external modules/libs and you have to copy them too to your gp2x or compile as static (which is much more easier)

    GP2X Battery Saving Time!

have you ever measured the voltage of both batteries? it's normal for a battery to have 1.26V, so some declare 1.2V, others 1.25V, could be even 1.3V sometimes all of these are made by the same material, in same proccess (they're both NiMH) so you should not expect higher voltage ratings on...

    Project: Reduce Current Consumption :)

Yeap, it would be much easier to develop using at leat a 3.6V/3.9V zener diode, wich would require less current and -- under applicable load -- would have still the same 3.3V as the nominal voltage rating BUT, I have my gp2x for less than one week so far, and I'm not going to put it on risk of...

    Project: Reduce Current Consumption :)

Yeah, I thought something like that would be going.. My multimeter can handle up to 10A (10s max in end-of-scale), but it's not a end-of-scale case anyway I forgot to mention, I'm using a home made 3.3V PSU (+5Vdc source -> 0.47ohm res -> 2 3.3V/5W zener diodes)

    Project: Reduce Current Consumption :)

that's curious I try to measure the current by using CPU / LCD tweaker to set clock rate and let it idle on the main menu My amperimeter says something between 240 and 280 mA on 33mhz and pretty much stays the same in 240mhz (I could go further on 280mhz, but I think that's enough to invalidate...

GP2X Is Anyone Developing In Linux?

Ok, I'm gonna give it a try Wouldn't it be best if we use Makefile in such a way that most people would be able to compile? I mean... then more likely to people see the code, learn and/or contribute to it, it would be great! I tried before to link to my avr development root at first, but it...

GP2X Is Anyone Developing In Linux?

I'm feeling much better now  I was thinking that I was the only one to try to keep it only in linux (I do have windows here, but I don't use it much besides some electronic CAD design and microcontroller's development that I still can't migrate to linux right now) but you'd just compiled...

GP2X Is Anyone Developing In Linux?

nice to see people on linux, I use "joe" most of the time, sometimes mcedit... I said vi just for example :] Yep, I had to edit makefile... make clean won't make because "del" is no such program here.. I changed the makefile to "rm" since it would build over Linux, cygwin and any other...

GP2X Is Anyone Developing In Linux?

Hey, I'm having quite a hard time to develop things in linux And it seems like everybody else use to develop in Windows So my question is: does anyone use to develop things in linux using standard linux tools like vi, gcc and so on? I'm feeling quite lone.. For example, I've tried to...

    Battery Life On Gp2x

According to NiMH batteries maker GoldenPeak ( http://www.gpbatteries.com.tw/html/battery...chargeable.html ) it's better to not let the batteries discharge much beyond the point wich common devices refuses to work So I don't know if it's a good idea to cycle so deeply batteries..

    GP2X Hw Accelerated Sdl

Gee man, that's great! I just asked about the sound because I saw someone complaining about sound on accelerated SDL implementation, so I was wondering if there's any difference between standard sdl... like if 'accelerated sound' would allow hardware playback of mp3 frames or mixing different...

    GP2X Hw Accelerated Sdl

So it does have support for skipping 'x' bytes at the end of each horizontal line? (my english is quite poor, I'm not sure if I get it all right) that's nice for x-scrolling, together with setting display initial ram addr we shall be capable of scrolling everywhere hardware-supported B) sure it...

Developing For The Gp2x When You Don't Have One?

FPU is more the case when you need precision than speed most time you can exchange your floating point calculations to fixed point calculations and earn some time to do other things.. This by no way means that you can't have any floating point variable on your code, just avoid it when possible...
