I remember when I got my gp32. It was the coolest handheld I had ever seen. There was nothing like it. enjoy
The windows 10 upgrade is still working for free but it will not work in this case. The computer needs to actually boot into Windows to upgrade. You can't boot off of installable media and upgrade. You can only do a fresh install that way. Use this to create a Windows 8 USB stick. You can run...
You can create a bootable windows thumb drive. You can also create a Windows 8 installer thumb drive and run tools from there. Your BCD is probably damaged. If you are going to dual boot Linux you might be able to just use grub and launch it without repairing.
Your file system was most likely damaged during the failed resize. Fist thing I would try is to try and check disk your windows volume and see if its repairable. If you have a spare drive handy you might try make a clone so if you mess any thing up you have a backup. If check disk fixes the...
unfortunately new business models for electronic devices don't really plan on long term use. phones, desktops, laptops are all becoming harder to work on and manufacturers just want us to buy a new one. I do IT and personally only use ivy/sandy bridge hp probooks still due to their ease of...

It's just a 6v 2amp polyfuse. Shouldn't be too hard to...
@Grench
How comfortable are you with a Multimeter? You may be in luck. MWeston put a protection fuse on the board that I would assume was to protect from what you did. Here is a photo of the PCB and I boxed F1 (the fuse). It is right next to the power connector. Check for continuity across...
ED would probably know how feasible but it could be that the TPS65950 power IC blew up. It could even be a fuse or something small. That power chip looks like a pain though. Just glancing at the TI site I think its a bga.
That build will be fine, but the GTA V PC port was inefficient. I wouldn't recommend to use that as a benchmark. What resolution are you playing at?
The 750 will play most games, but it will be the part you will probably want to upgrade. 2nd putting your OS on a solid state drive.
Those components will work fine, but you may want to up your video card a bit. Especially with a game like GTAV which is not very effecient you could use the extra boost. I see you looked at 2 nvidia cards, but in my experience you get more bang for your buck with AMD.
That CPU should be...
Just read Ed's post about the cpu Board! How freakin awesome is that? I always expected the pyra would get off the ground, but the cpu board powering up really makes me feel like this is happening. Sure there are plenty more places for road bumps and the issue with the RAM may be one of them. ...
