    Pyra Mods

Yeah, I have a service provided router too. However, portforward to my router, have media server and guest wifi on main router, and all my computers om the openwrt network. It is double natted, which isn't great, but I actually get better wifi speeds on the openwrt then the provided router, as...

    Pyra Mods

I use my openwrt router. It works well, and has a very simple guide to set it up. That is, if you have an openwrt router. You can always get one for cheap at a used store, and have it just as an openvpn server on your network. Sent from my H3123 using Tapatalk

    Pyra Mods

I have no printer, and couldn't model that up anyways. However, if you do get a case extension with a 20000mAh battery, you could sell a few of those :). Sent from my H3123 using Tapatalk

    Production Pyra photos/videos/thoughts thread

I know next to nothing, so the following could be wrong but... I believe this is already doable, via the linux kernel with cgexec. And pretty easy to, I think, as I was able to use it to do ram limiting, and I don't know jack. I would bet, once the Pyra is fully "out", we will get a nice...

General issues regarding F2FS rootfs partition

Dang man, very usable. Last time I 'tried" running an os off an sd card, took near 2 min to boot. Sub 1 min is doable, especially considering the huge boost in capacity over the emmc. Sent from my H3123 using Tapatalk

General issues regarding F2FS rootfs partition

Is the micro fast enough for that? I always look at os on cards as a backup due to speed. Sent from my H3123 using Tapatalk

General issues regarding F2FS rootfs partition

I disagree. It is good for dualbooting too. Emmc is the main OS, and microsd could be a testing os, or maybe Android, bsd, etc. Thus, if it autodetects, and boots, that negates it. Unless you have a shortcut to bypass, then we are back into the same boat. Sent from my H3123 using Tapatalk

Exactly. As well as, technically, the USA is on the metric system. We just have an abstraction layer on top of if. All our measurements are difined via the metric system. The people here know both too, at least at a base level. When I was in school we learned both via a meter stick, and a...

I have no doubt those will be buyable as a post market 3d printed expensive replacement case. However, for the standard mass production one, cost need to be low. That means as few colors as possible and as simple as possible. That means standard colors, which means black at this time. The...

    2GB and 4GB

Lunux. At the time I was on an Aspire One, 1.66ghz atom with 2gb of ddr3, a sata 2 drive for swap, running Arch and LXDE. I would sit at near 200mb while idle, as I had a few programs autoboot (c*, htop, and a few other things). I use to have to use "palemoon" as my browser, because firefox just...

    2GB and 4GB

I have been keeping up with this thread, but getting more and more confused. Preface: I am a "user". In no way or shape a dev, the most coding I did was a script to change my desktop background every min (of which I was quite proud of :) ). My issue is, on x86 (at least with an atom cpu), 2gb...

For me, its for fast backups. It is to be my main laptop. So I get home, and backup whatever I was working on, any pics/videos taken (with a usb camera of course), etc. It "may" also be useful as a media transfer device, but that usecase remains to be seen. Sent from my H3123 using Tapatalk

Politics of Gnome and Perceptions of rudeness (Random things from Daveshah's thread)

That's for people on septic in general, as well as only when the only people likely to see said yellow is family. Growing on on septic, yeah, beat into me. School was on city, and not family, so flush: ). Sent from my H3123 using Tapatalk

Release Emu EX Plus Alpha ported to the Pandora

You would be my hero, whenever I get my Pyra. I personally could never get it to compile for linux. This and Wagic were among the "big" programs I was worried might not run. :) Sent from my H3123 using Tapatalk

I am probably the least educated person here. I could at best be described as a handyman. I spent the half day changing outs from cream to white, and the other half instally drywall. If I can use a Prya, I am pretty sure you can. :) Even without 3d support by the time I get it amd its stuck at...
