    For Craig

Trying to maintain a blog with daily updates on your latest activities is like trying to log every single thing you plan to do in a day into a calendar, and then keep it up to date on a daily basis. This doesn't include the time wasted explaining to people why you're doing the things the way...

The Pandora can not run Windows (or WINE)

Some folks here need to take a chill pill (and swallow it whole). This thread is going to attract people who want Windows to work, so if you get angry about that, don't read it. Kind of like the Stupid Questions pinned thread we had a while ago.

Seeing that I have no clue about the differences between ports, I didn't vote. Why isn't there a "Whatever works" option? ;)

Pandora Buying A Beagleboard While Waiting For Pandora

The BeagleBoard is not designed for the average user who expects everything to come in a nicely wrapped box. The BeagleBoard is meant to be used by hardware and low-level software hackers. For everyone else, the BeagleBoard will have quite the learning curve. My experience is not too far off...

    Pandora As A Pda

Sorry, but running LAMP on the Pandora just to get a PIM suite is ridiculous. It definitely makes programming it a whole lot easier, but it's not like we have 512M of RAM to run all this stuff and whatever other software we're using, like the RAM-hungry Firefox. I've never quite settled into...

What's Your Level Of P&|a Commitment

My Zire 71, my backup, got sat on <_< so I need that Pandora soon. If it's not here by September, which means I vote August, I'm going to look into getting a refund and moving on. I can't wait forever, as much as I want it. :(

    Pandora As A Pda

I figured I'd just use software that syncs with other computers, thus Google. It makes it tons easier to manage my schedule, my e-mail, etc. Maybe someone will create a thinner (than the browser) client for Google software using their API.

    Where Is My £200 Handheld?

This has already been discussed here. (I do understand the frustration. I'm going to move on from these forums by August if the Pandora doesn't ship, and cancel my order if it's still possible.)

...and here I was thinking Firefox extensions were cross-platform. :( Edit: Aha, but source code is available! :)

    Pandora As A Pda

I'm also looking into this, with Google Calendar. It may be a bit messy, but I'm thinking about coming up with a simple notification app that does a little ditty whenever an event that's been marked to "Pop-up" is nearly due. Some kind of cron script, most likely. Another Edit: Or I'll use a...

Another Edit: Bah, meant this to append to my previous post.

    Nintendo 64 Emulation

This fella: Edit: And the "I told you so" came because I knew this conversation was going to degenerate into a CPU-vs-CPU discussion if it didn't stop, and I knew someone like Chip was going to come out and say this:

XBox, apples, oranges, pineapples, Pandoras, and pears: you can't compare them in the same chart, so don't even try.
