    Pandora/wiz Softcase Prototype

I like the case idea very much. Simply protecting it in a case is reason enough to buy this. Nevertheless, I do have a wish-list of features that came to mind immediately. ;) A way to access the headphone jack, and maybe the volume too. Since this won't be pocketable, I would also appreciate...

    Question About The Preorderers-Queue

The German shop (guessing it probably has a more structured cart system) is the one that can tell you, but it can only tell you where you are in terms of German orders.

    Found What I'm Looking For?

Actually, a rumor I heard says that an optimized version and/or driver is very possible, and could be in the works. What about the other argument: "more people use X, so therefore X gets more attention and more fixes"?

Protecting The Pandora Against Theft At Boot Time

And to get around that, you simply insert this splash or console text into the NAND, where booting happens. That's what I intended. The SD card is primarily for data, anyway, unless the user decides to put his/her own OS on there. I don't think the OP meant for the manufacturer to support this...

    Who's Still Interested In Pandora?

Wow, I didn't realize a poll could do that. But, eight votes? Boy, I sure hope there's more than that on its way. And I hope people don't forget to shout out their vote, because I'm sure the non-voters will be quite verbal (not having their own poll option). :) I, for one, voted "I am".

Protecting The Pandora Against Theft At Boot Time

This is possible. If there's any fancy splash screen, you could replace the splash with your own with the message plastered on it. Otherwise you could override the splash screen so that all you see is a blinking cursor, and write the message there. Edit: If it's anything like Linux ;) it'll be...

    Lerp Development Thread

I would pay for something like this, assuming the levels come out as creatively designed as the artwork. :)

    Music For Your Stuff!

I agree. The siren is very ominous, and doesn't fit very well with the flowery melodies layered on top. Just finished listening to the new tracks, and they're all awesome. A lot of artists have a hard time being creative enough to come up with new melodies, but you seem to do very well...

    Anyone Else Lost Interest?

I have not lost interest, but I am disappointed and scrambling for alternatives. The end of summer approaches fast and I expected (no, depended on) the Pandora shipping within a year of the pre-order. If I see something that fits my needs just as well (which is not likely, happily and sadly) I...

    Gphoto2 Anyone?

gphoto provides command-line access to the camera's photo storage, so it's kinda like remote control, except not. ;) Edit: Downloading photos off a camera is much more convenient (especially on a small device with a small keyboard like the Pandora) if you use something like F-Spot, which...

Pandora Quite Realistic Chance To Have About 400Mb Of Ram In Pandora

I don't know about the rest of you, but for me, the more RAM, the better, and I don't mind the CPU costs (if they even exist?) myself. One issue that may hurt some is the lack of hibernation support. Since this essentially reserves a segment of RAM as swap, and since the kernel wouldn't dare...

    Fidling With Cross Compiling/test Help

Seeing that you haven't gotten much of a response (and I feel for you) in this forum, you may or may not have better luck in the Beta Testing forum: http://www.gp32x.de/board/index.php?/forum/71-beta-testing-pandora/

    Music For Your Stuff!

Wow, the track you uploaded is quite nice, even just to listen to. I won't be able to use this music, but it certainly will be part of my library. Keep up the good work! :)

Google Chrome Os Coming In 2010

I wasn't talking about security. This whole thing is about convenience. Security will have to be taken into account, but I don't anticipate security being too big of an issue. I don't know. Maybe I'm being naive, but I anticipate that, with some HTTPS, encryption on the backend where it counts...
