    GPD WIN MAX ANNOUNCED

Interesting, it seems the compared low price of the upcoming Steam Deck has an impact onto the price of the new Win Max models as well: GPD Win Max 2021 handheld gaming laptop now available for preorder with surprising Intel Core i7-1195G7 upgrade and lower price

Oh, so it was unintentional? Because there was always a message that the site is down because of updates. And it usualy was down around afternoon german time and up again in the evening. But good that is was able to be fixed.

Miss the GCW Zero? The RetroGame RG350 is the modern equivalent

Seems these little (China)Handhelds hit the mainstream: Nice summary. I'm still wondering how easy it would be to get those SoCs for Pyra & Co. QUad Core ARM sounds at least like an advantage over Dual Core OMAP5.

Valve launching Steam Deck - SteamOS Handheld Console

But with the difference that you can actualy buy a Steam Deck. xD So much drama and promises and endless delays around the Smach-Z...and then Valve comes around the corner and shake the Steam Deck out of their wrists, like it's an easy peasy thingy to do.

Valve launching Steam Deck - SteamOS Handheld Console

Well, at least they release it on the Steam Deck. ;) The CPU/GPU is described as: AMD APU CPU: Zen 2 4c/8t, 2.4-3.5GHz (up to 448 GFlops FP32) GPU: 8 RDNA 2 CUs, 1.0-1.6GHz (up to 1.6 TFlops FP32) APU power: 4-15W Maybe a custom solution. I'm curious about the gaming power. And what's a "RDNA"...

Valve launching Steam Deck - SteamOS Handheld Console

Nice, the more, the better. With Valve behind it is at least likely that the Steamdeck will have proper long term support, unlike many other of these (China)Handhelds. But is "SteamOS" a thing? I have no infos about that OS, what can we expect?

    Windows 11

Uh...OK. o_O Well, I don't play much anymore but Overwatch has to run, no compromises there for me. I know Blizzard does not support it for Mac OS, even if Diablo 3 does run there, no clue about Linux support. That's the benefit of all these Windows Handheld Devices: it usually runs like on your...

    Windows 11

Linux is great for tinkerers and for servers but I just have no nerves for that, not for command line orgies and not for compromises. Sometimes it's often the little things like missing proper HW acceleration, like in Firefox at the moment and their endless "Webrender" mess under Linux is a good...

    GPD WIN 3

And how good do games run under Linux, compared to the Stock Windows? better or worse? I'm curious. ^^

    Windows 11

That was not my point and I do care about WIndows. I just can't understand why there is no stock split screen file manager in Windows. Not everyone wants to use external tools for everything. It would have so many benefits to use an split screen file manager over ones like the Windows File...

    Windows 11

Maybe Total Commander has an exclusive Patent onto a split File manager Window? I can't imagine another sane reason NOT to use this kind of screen split for file management in every OS and every file manager. I trust in Total Commander since decades, so it can't be that bad of a system, right? :D

    Windows 11

Most important question: will the ne Windows 11 file explorer FINALLY have 2 side-by side windows/tab areas like Total Commander has them since...forever? xD I mean, what's so hard to do this? I'm really interested on how this Android "Emulation" will perform. I see some potential on mobile...

What we learned and did during the last 6 months

That sounds even worse than simply "lost in translation". :( Would have saved you countless hours of tinkering onto case improvements if they would have done their job better. Or maybe their CAD Software was crap, who knows.

What we learned and did during the last 6 months

That's a lot of fixing things, wow. I'm somehow shocked that after so many years where the Pyra case was tweaked there are still so many "bugs" in it. Whoever designed that thing in the first place did a terrible job imho. Especially when I look at all these handhelds that came out during the...

Global Chip Shortage Threatens Production of Laptops, Smartphones and More

Maybe an alternative Laptop option for the future? Linux support ist worked on I've read. I overall like the modular concept...except the glossy screen with only one display option so far. 3:2 aspect ratio though.
