    P-Uae Users - Status

Great info thanks - it would be really helpful to get a list of "quick wins" like this for someone to work through once your code changes settle down a bit.... You are probably in a useful position to reel off some suggestion areas for optimization like this.... if you have the time. No idea...

    P-Uae Users - Status

What kind of areas are you thinking of? Avoiding CPU core changes would be good, partly as its not easy on UAE, partly as it would require updating, partly as there is no useful 68020 core.

    Working Port Of Gngeo

Why not use Drz80 for the Z80 core as well? Or is that less compatible than the C Z80 core? I know Cyclone is regarded as v compatible.

    Development Bounties

Re this and various "e.g. Fix up the Amiga Emu" posts. Due to the problem (as stated by e.g. Ari64 of development time vs bugfixing, I reckon look for already done software that is closed source. e.g. This guy - http://www.bitbanksoftware.com/SmartGear.html - writes closed-source profit...

    Beta Mupen64Plus

Was thinking about this and thought it would potentially could be easier to create an uncompressed rom to bypass the need to decompress on the fly. And then while browsing current N64 video plugins (did not realise Rice video was still being developed...) I came across some relevant info...

    Beta Mupen64Plus

Thanks for the responses, very useful. interesting. Can we not get essentially free scaling out of the sgx hardware? Or is it again due to sgx driver? How much gain - is it worth rendering to 400x240 and scaling?

    Beta Mupen64Plus

(Apologies for cross post, advised other thread was best left to die....) Video of Pandora playing Starfox here: http://www.youtube.c...h?v=wUDdq83iz8E (posted by Trevsweb) Comparing that to a N64 video, it looks like the draw distance in mupen64plus is greater than on N64 hardware. Or perhaps...

    Mupen64Plus

Not sure which is the best thread here in the beta, but quick comment: Video of Pandora playing Starfox here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wUDdq83iz8E (posted by Trevsweb) Comparing that to a N64 video, it looks like the draw distance in mupen64plus is greater than on N64 hardware. Or...

    Beta Psx4Pandora Beta

I believe ED is saying he has another beta build he is testing (not yet released) which sorts a lot of the sound probs. He is not talking about the problematic public beta2...

    Beta Mupen64Plus

Has any N64 emu ever worked out Rare's extra microcode for this? I thought all 64 games had been emulated one way or another.... ...almost sounds like you are setting yourself a challenge... Is/Was a fun a rather unusual N64 game - (and one of the few that needed a 64Meg backup...

    Release Visualboyadvance

I think everything is being done in SW at the moment. There has been talk of getting quick ASM routines to scale & rotate video, or NEON etc.. (I think Exophase provided some scaling code to Zotdd if I recall). I've not looked, but presumably sgx driver provides access to sdl/opengl/fb - and I...

    Release Visualboyadvance

I've kind of assumed getting the SGX to scale would be far and away the cheapest way to scale? Or is this a case we are waiting for a suitable SGX binary blob that works with the kernel to get access to this feature set?

    Request @pickle

Can I just piggy back on this request? Pickle - what set-up/compiler and compiler flags are you using when you compile all these lovely Pandora apps. I'm interested in doing some profiling and speed comparisons (once my pandora arrives, of course) with various compiler and optimisations. It...

And would that add hardware scaling to anything using SDL?...

    Post Your Dosbox Successes Here

Second Reality definitely needed a 486 to run full speed back in the day. So perhaps OC'd Pandora matches a low end 486 in Dosbox at the moment - although it probably depends on game in question - stronger at some things, worse in others...

    Pandora Compiling For Pandora

Hopefully someone can create and release and ready to roll VM all setup for cross compiling. Incidentally, would using LLVM and associated compiler (which now claims to support NEON) provide any speed benefit over GCC? Is is the step to portable bytecode likely to drop performance? EDIT: Prob...

    Beta Mupen64Plus

Aha, yes join the club - I thought I'd be safely in the first lot, although it appears queue numbers did not include overseas orders... Still, we've had plenty of practice waiting... Thanks for that - realise it sounded like a "can you please port" question, which wasn't the intention - I've...

Release Fullspeed Amiga Emulation On Pandora!

Aha, no you don't you do mean: sound_stereo_mixing_delay - default appears to be 0: sound_stereo_mixing_delay=0 Can't find any documentation on this, so not sure what appropriate values are. Incidentally for anyone with a Pandora, other settings in the config file that are likely to impact...

    Beta Mupen64Plus

Ouch, sorry to hear that. Thought you had been offered a dev unit after knocking out your ARM recompiler... have you also ordered a pandora? (EDIT: Completely OT: reading about the ARM port of Mame, and it's lack of a MIPS dynamic recompiler for ARM - how portable is your recompiler to Mame...
