Should I have received my final order eMail already?

Anyone hear any updates on the last of the 200 run yet? I think I put in my final payment a month ago now, still no tracking number.

Should I have received my final order eMail already?

Still haven't gotten mine yet. Or a tracking number. An update would be nice, but I haven't been thinking about it much lately.

Should I have received my final order eMail already?

I was thinking something like that about being number 200. Hopefully all the assembly kinks are worked out by the time he gets to mine.

Should I have received my final order eMail already?

Ordered a Standard dark chrome, originally wanted the 4g, but now I think I'd rather have less phone hardware in my life. #200 ordered.

Should I have received my final order eMail already?

Well, don't forget that this is a FOSS community, the more units that are in the wild, the better the software. But yea, considering the cost and the time? I'd certainly prefer to wait a bit longer rather than get defective parts.

    Just a quick heads up

Save states are nice, but using them this way really sucks the challenge out of many games. Cheesing the original Zelda like this would suck all the fun out of the game considering that getting to the boss with enough hearts is often the challenge. That said, some games are nearly unplayable...

    Just a quick heads up

So pre-pre orders had to upgrade to a different type of pre-order? Guess I missed that. Edit: Looking back at an email, looks like I preordered a 4gb mobile edition, so I guess I must have done it already.

    Just a quick heads up

200 here. I waited for it. Figured I'd gamble for whether or not I would pre-pre-order ^-^. Really didn't think it would take this long, glad we decided on 4gb! (Though now... 8 would be more aporpriate, ah well.) Hopefully the next version (upgrade?) will be able to be more timely with all...

Do You Use A Gnu/linux Distro On Your Main Computer?

Fedora has been doing well at upgrades for the past 10 versions or so. Pretty impressive, however, I prefer the "everything can break any day" strategy. Love the rolling distros.

Do You Use A Gnu/linux Distro On Your Main Computer?

Yea, e-gpu pass through means that we take an external video card and try to pass it through the machine in which it is attached to a virtual machine that it is running. My end goal is to be able to easily pass my graphics card to whatever VM I happen to want it to go to. For example, to test...

Do You Use A Gnu/linux Distro On Your Main Computer?

It's amazing how such a short thread of only 10 pages can last so many years. May as well add what I'm up to now. Pi400 - Pretty much my main these days, twisterOS X230 - Tablet. I tend to keep Linux Mint running on thinkpads. I like the desktop environment, and I've never had the system break...

Politics of Gnome and Perceptions of rudeness (Random things from Daveshah's thread)

I absolutely love this conversation, but we really should move it to a different thread.

Politics of Gnome and Perceptions of rudeness (Random things from Daveshah's thread)

I dunno about #9. I always heard, "if it's yellow let it mellow"... But yes. Do good unto others, and do good unto yourself.

Politics of Gnome and Perceptions of rudeness (Random things from Daveshah's thread)

I've always thought of "SJW" as a derogatory term against people who do harm to others in the name of "social" justice. Personally, I've found much of the stuff going around these days to be anti-individualism rather than pro-diversity. Like, exclude everyone, rather than include everyone...

    It's software this time!

He's a former dev, lead dev, manager, etc. But mostly a journalist that knows what he's talking about these days.

Not much text here. Just a video.

I've always been a fan of the square drive personally, though, torx seems to work well for small screws.

Media and Press - who should we contact?

Lunduke has some pretty strong pull it seems these days. Get a Pyra to him when general orders open up, and I'm sure it'll spread. Even better if you can get on the show. Also, he's with Linux Journal now as well, so it would be good to get something in there too.

    Preparing for the countdown...

If you are looking to rock 2d games, love2d (https://love2d.org/) is worth checking out. Also, as mentioned, godot (https://godotengine.org/) is pretty cool. I hear lots of great things, but I haven't really tried much in it myself, just watched some tutorials on it.

    Preparing for the countdown...

This^ How did I forget about this? Yes. I certainly want to try to get into making some 2d games, and the Pyra would be a great little device to target. It's almost a shame it's going to be standard Linux. There's something special lost when a given machine isn't a snapshot in time like...

    Preparing for the countdown...

What, no st? I've not used DWM yet, huge fan of icewm though. I never really thought about what to do with my pyra in that regard. And the emacs idea is interesting, but I've always hated chorded shortcuts. Pretty sure I'll be sticking with vim. What am I doing though? Wondering how I'm going...
