    Another Network Issue.

I'm going to be optimistic and say that was my problem. I was imagining that only a successful connection would cause this issue. Thanks, it's good to know that I was experiencing the same known problem as everyone else.

    Another Network Issue.

I do know that, and I thought I was doing this from a fresh boot. However, does it hit this issue if it fails to connect? For example, if it fails to connect once will it never connect until it's rebooted? That could potentially explain the issues I had. Of course, it's possible I did do...

How Are All The Linux Newbies Coping?

I don't think that the question was about the minimenu.

    Beta Mupen64Plus

Is it my imagination, or does the frameskip option in the config file not do anything at all?

Can We Have An Explation For This Op?

My lid closes fine. My left shoulder button is fine, but my right one is a bit wiggly. The dpad is excellent.

    Another Network Issue.

It tries it for a few seconds, then prompts you again. Yes, when it prompts you it mentions the encryption type. That could be my issue then. Well, this is a little embarrassing ... but my WiFi is working perfectly now. I've rebooted a couple of times and can't make it fail. I swear nothing...

How Are All The Linux Newbies Coping?

Ok, Motor-vehicles then. Have you seen those silly luggage carts they have at the airport? I can't believe they keep using those, I've never had a problem with my two-door Hyundai. The point is that they're tools you use for different purposes. Windows and MacOS may be the 22oz claw-hammer...

    Another Network Issue.

I'm using a D-Link DI-524 I'm using passphrases not HEX codes. I'd never remember a hex code. Through experimentation WEP seems much more likely to work than WPA, but still rather frustrating.

    Another Network Issue.

GRAAA! It was not the same problem. I just got lucky. To Recap : My Pandora has a phantom network device at usb0. My Pandora, ninety-nine times out of a hundred, refuses to authenticate with my router when it's using WPA or WEP. The first is easy enough to solve, a quick "ifconfig usb0...

    Another Network Issue.

Oh. How stupid of me. It was the same problem. I did a "ifconfig usb0 down" (as root) and I was able to connect with no problem. If I had edited the config file like I said I was going to this wouldn't have bitten me again. Sorry for starting a stupid thread.

    Another Network Issue.

I've got another network issue. My Pandora now works great when my access point is completely open, but obviously I don't want to leave it that way. Sadly it refuses to connect when I use WEP or WPA. I give it my "keychain" password or whatever, then I input my WEP (or WPA) key, and it sits...

How Are All The Linux Newbies Coping?

I know what you mean! Are you aware that there are literally hundreds of different types of hammer? I don't understand why everyone from steel-workers and lumberjacks to jewelers and clockmakers can't just use a solid 22oz claw hammer with a rubberized handle. It works out great for me, and...

Pfft! That's not Chaos! That's diversity. That's OK, I just skipped down to the part where I saw my name. :)

    Beta Html 5 Game Performance

On my 500mhz Pandora, that link doesn't seem to want to animate on Midori. (In fact it causes Midori to freeze.) Pac-Google seems to work OK, though. With a low, but playable framerate.

    Beta Mupen64Plus

I tried MarioKart and Ocarina. Without sound, Both ran at about a 50% normal speed. My Pandora is running at 500mhz. (I didn't time it with the sound. The skipping music was driving me crazy. CRAZY!) Halving the resolution(and upscaling) didn't seem to have much effect on how it ran. In a...

Old timers might complain about size of the lettering, but it doesn't bother me at all. I think it looks great.

How Are All The Linux Newbies Coping?

Slack is not really intended for beginners. It's intended to be sort of old-fashioned in many ways. On the other hand, if Slack hasn't scared you away, then more power to you!

How Are All The Linux Newbies Coping?

"Power users" are often very reluctant to change the software they use, let alone their operating system. All the "hints and tricks" they've learned would be obsolete. Their knowledge is too specific to and not "low level" enough to make learning a new system easy and intuitive. Essentially...

Can We Have An Explation For This Op?

Update : I applied some firm pressure there and I heard a "click" as it popped into place. Must have been a clip that hadn't been set properly. Fixed!

Can We Have An Explation For This Op?

My Pandora has that same issue. Almost exactly like the picture. Doesn't bother me at all, though I do worry that long term it might collect dust. All in all, I'm impressed with the hardware quality of my Pandora, but I want to stress that If it was being made a million at a time by Sony or...
