I ordered back in feb. Actually, I am just refering to the warning on the "where to buy" link from the open-pandora.org. I suppose it doesn't actually tell you to look here for updates, but it tells you to look here before you pre-order (and once you do, you should know where to find updates)
Trolling has a much wider definition in these forums than in most places, I'm used to it being used for people who are do not have a legitimate interest in the topic under discussion, and are only posting in order to disrupt the conversation.
I think I would do this too, assuming there are good instructions available. I must admit I just as worried about what might happen during the wait period as I am about the potential that I might break something during assembly.
They obviously are not sure if the issue with the wifi is surmountable through software or not. It seems like they are being more than fair about it either way.
It is just a matter of familiarity. Getting familiar with OSes built on linux is tough because each one is so different. I think a lack of interface standization is really the biggest hurdle preventing linux from becoming more mainstream.
