I did promise to donate a 1Ghz unit to this cause. If you ever decide you want it, or have someone else that could help you out and doesn't have one, let me know.
Thanks for the interest! I'm not declaring it dead, but it's just going to take longer than expected. I was making a lot of good progress, and now I'm just tired at the end of the day and need some relaxation time. Work has been driving me to drink a little more often on my days off (hence me...
Weird, but who cares because it's an open competition, right?
Also, offtopic; You are a God among men, sir.
Thank you for every piece of software you have written/ported/whatever. Most of what you have done, I've probably used it on several platforms.Your name is synonymous with getting...
I sent an e-mail offering a free 1ghz unit for dev noting my $200 bounty for completion + other bounties for him or anyone that was interested. Maybe no one is interested or I hit his spam filter for saying "Pandora." :P
My thought is, even if we can get a piss poor DC emu for P1, we're that...
I'm looking forward to trying it on my new 1Ghz machine when it shows up. :D I'm sending my other units away to family members (except my original order for testing).
Already more interest! LOL!
Also dude, in an off-topic, Thanks! You are awesome for porting your linux distro and 200+ packages. That is EPIC. I haven't tried it yet, but I will when I can.
Hi all!
Just an acknowledgement that the project isn't dead. I have not written a line of code since the last update because work has been "kicking me in the buttocks". The quote is a huge improvement from what I want to say.
I'm a network engineer (NE) by trade, now all of a sudden I am a...
I am interested, as I missed the Pandora Rebirth Competition. You'd probably get more interest on this forum if you can translate the rules to English. I took some Spanish in school, but only enough to get the general idea of the rules.
Thanks!
I haven't heard anything yet. I asked if he was interested or knew anyone capable of doing it that would be interested. I did note while I was looking around on the google code site that it's a direct X emu. Probably a hard port. I saw some things on a google search about a guy that was porting...
I don't know of anyone getting that money either. I would hope our brave OS devs got it. I think our brave hardware devs sunk it into the losses. :P
You know, I agree with you on the getting software out on iOS and Android (for money), except for I am trying to do the opposite. If/When I get...
All my friends that I have shown the Pandora to have said, "THIS IS AWESOME!!!!! HOW MUCH IS IT???!!!!" I say $500. They say "Oh...."
We all work in IT. I haven't been able to sell even one IT guy I work with at $500. PSX and all...
EDIT: We all make over $200K, really, and they act like...
Oh snap! I do feel bad for them, but if I am going to inject more money now, I think throwing money at the people who create the software for us is the best use. Users will get their Pandora orders (eventually), and I know that is "eventually... Two Months ™ " (I waited over a year myself too)...
I didn't take it that way, why do you? I took it as asking about why I supported the hardware side and not the software side. I kind of see it as the chicken and the egg. You can't have software without hardware. If you don't have a lot of hardware out there you won't have anyone developing...
I have no idea right now. I haven't been to my home in about a year. I don't know that mine is even physically out of the packaging yet or that I have received it. I just know I ordered it. :D
