quake 1-3 are like sports cars that have been driven 4+ years or so they are fun but you have gotten used to them by now
XReal has that new car smell and a very sharp looking paint job
not sure what you mean.... it has mime type support like linux im pretty sure of that it was one of the big features of BeOS the speed you could search for files by type
There is also a program that pops up if it doesn't know what to do with a file
maybe I don't understand what you mean also...
Haiku on wikipedia CODE

The target is likely to be the beagleboard and thus the pandora should also be an easy leap

@clean3d you realise it runs fine in wine don't you
awesome port! I don't remember ever seeing planets messed up like that in wine with the SW rederer ... must be a bug in the linux version...
well in the case of doom3 things like sound decoding could probably be offloaded to the DSP as well... and no the pandora isn't anywhere close to a PIII not even a 600Mhz PII since it isn't out of order (OMAP3 has dual issue but not out of order execution iirc)
we will just have to wait and...
@Nova there definitly is a wacom driver for Linux which works well from what I understand you probably have it set up wrong (no offense it happens all the time)
Haiku doesn't support windows drivers ... it has a compatibility layer for some freebsd drivers though
CODE...
I wouldn't be so sure... you see the gl calls are wrapped to the native gl.... and nvidia will probably never support gallium and virtualbox is going to wan't to work on nvidia drivers even if they are closed source
also gallium isn't going to work on windows (in theory it can but binary...
In order of frequency
XP Linux BeOS/Haiku Vista (almost never)
In order of preference
Linux BeOS/Haiku XP Vista
BeOS could easily take over first place once they have a few things working like 3d and printing and java/openoffice
Oh and Linux distros in order of preference
Debian/ArchLinux...
Virtualbox has virtual opengl now... since version 2.2
you probably need newer xorg though I couldn't get it working with slack 12 which has xorg 1.4.2 probably needs 1.5 I hear compiz works on ubuntu with it
Virtualbox on vista running ubuntu 8.10 w/ compiz you have to install the guest...
@ninjamonkey don't put too much thought into it john carmack has already said he would release it after Rage was out and the other game which I don't recall are both out... which should be pretty soon
I thought you meant it had 4x accumulator registers XD
Computering student.. see what that gets me X.x
Also this is a MK-106 is this a nuklear hardened version of the pandora from the fuyture?
@Poem58 don't forget s-video converts to RCA (I think you can also convert the singnals from the pandora to composite... not sure) ... and yeah you would be really hard pressed to find a TV made in the last 10 years without RCA too many game consoles have used it or S-video
@conso uuhh you didn't see that forum link... somebody was just working on an arm version
Archlinux has a build script repository that would probably mostly work for arm once the base system was working... and that guy seemed to have it mostly there
