Burning all their CPU test boards seems not good.
When they say test board I assume they are talking about these dev boards they got from AMD and those can't be cheap.
Had have veeerrry mild anticipation and expectations that I don't know why I have given I still cannot find them listed on E3's site.
Man last I checked the vault there was nothing and I hadn't received any emails indicating anything was added.
I should have checked it sooner.
I'm detecting...
Did some testing of the heatsink.
In case anyone was wondering how airflow is or thinking of modifying the heatsink this may be of interest.
Now that I've made a setup to test them I kinda wish I had a original heatsink with fins to see what flow through that looks like.

Well they've managed to throw in everything but a IR blaster while slightly shrinking it and keeping the same weight with additional CPU, ram and storage and a bigger battery.
Until I see an actual prototype you'll have to forgive me being ever so slighty skeptical here.
The largest sledgehammer in the world won't straighten these rails but dammit I'll try.
So supposedly these guys are working on it.

Supposedly.
Well time to fire off some emails to see if I can get a response...
I'm both intrigued and skeptical even if the people making it have a track record.
Cause yeah

This thread is going places I did not expect.
Anyways to rerail this kinda.
Supposedly he's trying to acquire 20000 cpu's.

Got called out.
Getting ever so slightly ahead of himself there.
The Chinese announcement mentioned a new Guozi film
Which apparently are the name of these.
So they either changed the little clicky popper thing or judging by google results they stuffed some Chinese movie in the keyboard.
I've been trying to get a new keyboard to compare but I've only got...
Been trying to figure out anything on the large amounts of keyboard issues people are having and got this response.
This is way over my head so does that sound like a possible reason for a the keyboard issues people are having?
In the revised model they did say they did a minor tweak of the PCB...
Well it was briefly mentioned on Dingoonity but over on Tieba they are heavily touting Ubuntu on it more than anything else.
Rather than a Windows device with the option of using Ubuntu this seems to be a Ubuntu device with the option of using Windows.
Year end update woo!
That seems to imply they actually had a pcb design in the first place.
Isn't beta testing supposed to be the final round of testing right before a product is about to be released?
I was okay with their actors, I was okay with their dubious updates, I was okay with...
Well its literally a start, now they just need a time machine.
I read on a Russian forum that the launch date has been pushed back to summer, guess he didn't announce that after all the guarantees it would come out in March.
Given that GPD's reps have the time to spam articles across multiple forums it'd be nice if they'd take the time to head back over to dingoonity and do some damage control in their GPD win problem thread that they made and seemed to have abandoned a month ago.
Do the 10 keys to the right work still?
My main keyboard went out for a day while the side keys worked fine and many restarts did nothing and the next day it acted like nothing had happened and was perfectly fine.
Also has happened to a couple other people so you might be the same.
Got a damaged screen?
We'll send you a new one you can replace yourself.
Got graphic driver crashes and feel like doing surgery?
We'll send you a kit to repair it that may or may not have a few surprises inside.
Mislabeled buttons or bad d-pad?
We'll send you new ones to replace.
Wanna remove...
The red stuff literally peeled off in one sheet so none of the external stuff is a issue, its just before that stuff cured it flowed inside the connectors and while the external puddle is gone I can't get that internal stuff out.
The connector on the new stronger fan I swapped in is holding fine...
Do any of you have any idea what the red stuff is they slathered over all the connectors?
Because the sticks were just flopping around and being a pain I decided to remove them which was apparently a mistake.
I cannot get the ribbon cable to go back into the connector because it is so full of...
So in the display driver crash repair kit I found a 1k and 22k resistor in my 10k bag.
Only 3 of the 5 were 10k resistors.
All 5 of the resistors in the 1k bag were the correct ones.
If I didn't habitually test parts before installing that 22k one would've been installed and I'd probably have a...
