Wine On Android Starts Allowing Windows Binaries On Android/ARM.

What is the deal with this? I do not use Linux so don't know much about WINE, but my understanding is WINE will run DX games on a x86 PC, translating calls to OpenGL and didn't you previously do a test where you used your glshim to make the GL -> GLES work? I am just curious what the current...

    Looking for a game developer

We typically author our assets with the view of targeting a 2400x1600 screen resolution, then during our conversion process assets per platform are generated (by using a Lanczos filter). We find it works pretty well on the whole; obviously if you put lots of fine grained details in the 2400x1600...

    Vibrating Pyra?

It doesn't take a very high education of science to know nothing is 100% possible or impossible, at best things are very very (very X100) likely or dislikely. You can bounce a rubber ball on a wooden table and it will bounce back, it could also go straight through the table, the issue is the...

What will Pyra replace for you?

The Pyra will replace my girlfriend, well maybe anyway, she wasn't too pleased with the amount of time I spent on my Pandora when I first got it :)

    Release PalmOS Emulator

For Zodiac (at least), the SDK came with an simulator, not an emulator. To run stuff on the simulator you used a different build configuration (this build configuration built an x86 DLL).

So I Finally Took Time to Make a Game (Sebt3)

@pmprog you are completely correct that C++ programs can't necessarily compile as C, but I think you have missed the point being made (or put better, I have failed to make my point obvious). You can take C code and compile it as C++, it is then C++ code, and you can't argue there is anything...

So I Finally Took Time to Make a Game (Sebt3)

Regarding language choice, what makes something c vs c++? It is simply the compiler used; what I mean by this is you can take a C program, and compile it with a C++ compiler and now it is a C++ program (admittedly you may have some minor compile errors to fix). So based on this, something being...

32 Dice release Just for you! (Update 1.9)

@Majin why not put a request on the board? Typically developers with a proven track record of releasing Pandora software have better luck recruiting, so perhaps once 32 Dice is finalised on the repo you could put a request on the board, I can ask the guy who did the dice if he is interested (he...

32 Dice release Just for you! (Update 1.9)

@Majin the dice graphics were for a monopoly projects I worked on ages ago for Zodiac (sadly never got released, despite being mostly complete), a friend of mine created the assets, but they are free for you to do what you wish with them :)

Release A SHoot 'eM UP for Pandora

Haven't played it (yet!!) but wanted to jump on and say 'nice one'! Takes a whole lot of effort (and then some) to get a finished project together, I am looking forwards to giving it a go!

    Release TinyGLES

Wow, nice! Did you have any benchmark data, for example how long does a 800x480 alpha blended blit take? I am assuming these sort of operations are going to tie up the CPU/memory so I was just trying to get a feel for how much frame time would be used in a game that overdraws the screen a few...

32 Dice release Just for you! (Update 1.9)

I don't know if these are of any interest, http://subversion.assembla.com/svn/zodiacmonopoly/data/dice/ they are some dice faces that may look nice in your game. They are assets which I own/have rights to and you are welcome to use them in this project if you want to. You may prefer the current...

When I search on Google Play from my phone for "Palm ARM Emulator" DraStic comes up #2 :-)

    Release Oolite: Legible font project

Hopefully it can be tracked down, if not, at some point it might be worth doing a PVRTrace of it when it is going wrong, so that can be examined. Having a right and wrong frame in the PVRTrace will probably identify the issue rather quickly.

    Release Oolite: Legible font project

I notice that when the gaps appear, you there other 'extra bits' are being drawn, little wispy light thin polygon strips. I wonder if these extra bits of geometry are the missing triangles? Not quite sure why it'd be happening, I 'd assume that the stuff being drawn is static (not being updated...

    Release Oolite: Legible font project

I have no idea how this particular game works, but generally render engine allow you to specify mipmap levels for textures (including fonts). It will then select which mipmap level to use based on the size being rendered (and use parameters). With bilinear filtering it'll snap between the...

    [Bounty] PalmOS Emulator PND

@Gench I had exactly the same thoughts as you, Bike or Die was by far the game I played most on my Zodiacs. Would be ace to be able to play it decently on Pandora.

    Cheat Codes In PicoDrive??

It is one of those things which is based on perspective. If someone that doesn't know much about PC's wants to rename a file, if the extension isn't hidden, they will quite possibly end up renaming 'New Document.doc' to 'Important' (losing the file extension). They'll later double click on the...

Nothing to show, but a lot happened.

I do have friends that spend considerable time trying to learn other languages, German is one example, but when I have been with them in Germany, he'll try to converse in German, but the other person will typically realise he is English and very quickly switch to English. I think it is a...

Nothing to show, but a lot happened.

I speak for the mast majority of England when I say it never ceases to amaze me how good the rest of the world is at English. In England a tiny minority are good at another language (not Welsh or Gaelic) but the rest of us have forgotten the two French and German words we learned at school long ago.
