I have a Palm Z22, which has a TINY 160x160 screen. You hear that DaveC? But guess what, there are a countless number of things that you can do with that resolution. It's all about the implementation. Plus, it doesn't hurt my eyes at all.
Fine, Gpnewbie is fine and all, but I seriously doubt any newbies would find a post by a person named shinneri and click on his signature, taking them to a guide that is immediately visible upon opening the website.
1. Is that a friend of yours? How did you assume he had no computer knowledge right from the start? Just because he doesn't know what a GP2X is?
2. Waste of time asking if he knew that the GP2X has linux. No sense in that.
3. Instead of averting potential newbie customers and keeping the...
You guys have to accept that the GPKiDs won't be directly targeted to the homebrew community. Since the article posted earlier states "The company is under discussion with a US-based education content company to supply the product," it looks like this is trying to target kids. Of course, it's...
As much as I would like to play GBA on the road, I am still not convinced enough to buy a GP2X, simply because the headphone jack remains on the top of the unit.
If, for some reason, I had a GP2X (if I got it for free), I would never show it in public. Strangers would reticule me after seeing that my headphones are plugged into the top of the unit, which is a nonsensical location.
I don't get why you guys are saying how it doesn't exist. Both the GP2X and XGP had clear videos of working units in their very early stages, but I didn't see anyone doubting the GP2X's existence. XGP is just taking a more realistic amount of time for development. So I guess all of you...
Stop with your propaganda. I remember you used to give us false promises during the earlier days of the GP2X ("There will be a lot of commercial games coming out in March"). What is it that you despise of the XGP's?
I don't think having to spend $30 for high-capacity rechargeable batteries really reduces the cost. Anyway, having a huge battery compartment sticking out of the XGP/Mini would be quite unsightly.
Yeah I remember that. They said things like PSX, GBA, and Dosbox were in the works. And for original games, they mentioned things like "Naruto 3D" "Wipeout 3D clone" and "Gunbound clone". Oh, and that was in September of LAST YEAR. IIRC, the first GP2X's came out around December/January.
To hurt a thief in the inside, maybe even enough to make him return it, and make him rethink his wrongful actions each time he turns it on, just make your bootscreen say:
"God is watching you."
Going along with that, just be happy that the person did not hurt you. He could have gone up to you WHILE you were wearing the jacket with the GP2X in your pocket and held you up at gunpoint, or worse, slashed you with a blade...
