One thing I always point out is the video game crash of 1983 was only in North America, video games were still immensely popular everywhere else in the world especially for microcomputers.
I actually kind of feel Nintendo monopolised the US market a bit as their games were crazy expensive for...
I haven't tried linux on my GPD-Win myself, but from what I've read it's god awful and is plagued with problems on the win such as the screen orientation, sound etc.
But the Win 2 has apparently got full Linux support and was used as a selling point at one stage, too bad I don't own one.
I just release my stuff as I please, couldn't give less of a fuck about licences whatsoever.xD I'm just happy if literally anyone finds my stuff useful.
QBasic makes me want to throw up, I used it on my DOS PC a lot.
Blitzmax/Blitz3D/BlitzBasic basically fixes everything wrong with it and modernises the crap out of it so it's now actually usable
I pretty much have no reason to get a Pyra, since I have a GPD-Win now and a hacked PSP. But I’ve heard only good things about the Pandora (well other than the launch of it).
Basically I see the Pyra compared to the GPD-Win as a much more comfyier emulation device with a lot more I/O + 3G/4G...
I'd say grab a PSP 1000/2000, on top of being a good video/music player you can hack it easily and play emulators + PS1 games and plus they go for really cheap these days.
