    Should Pyra have a Camera?

Anyone planning to do/sell camera mods? This seems like a major shortcoming...

    Google Project Fi

I don't understand this. Doesn't Project Fi's $20/mo include the LTE connectivity on both Sprint and T-Mobile towers?

    Google Project Fi

It looks like it's only standalone, from this teardown: https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/iPhone+6+Teardown/29213#s69254 Hey, I hate Google too - but it's much cheaper and better coverage than any of the other options here :(

    Pyra Audio Driver - PulseAudio

ALSA supports Bluetooth without Pulse, doesn't it? I've only ever had headaches from Pulseaudio, myself... rather avoid needing it. :/

Gentoo based OS image (Pyra) -EOI

If I end up moving to Pyra, I'll probably use Gentoo if it works reasonably well. That probably means I can contribute a bit, but I'm really short on time lately, so I can't commit to anything.

    Google Project Fi

Any hints as to whether the cellular module can handle Project Fi's special SIM/networks? Looks like the Nexus 6 (only current Fi-capable phone) uses a Qualcomm MDM9625M modem, and that it supports both the US and international bands in the PLS8 - any particular reason to use the PLS8 chip(s)...

Can't you get any of these by remapping anyway?

    Finishing up the hardware

Well... Linux does support memory hotplugging... How will that work,  if Android itself requires 3 GB of RAM? (will Android VMs be officially supported?)

    Avoiding keyboard decisions

Would it be too difficult/expensive to use e-ink to change the key "labels" from software?

    6lowpan support?

It's a standardised version of ZigBee. So the same hardware would do both ZigBee and/or 6lowpan. It does require different hardware than 802.11, though.

    6lowpan support?

I was just thinking for longer battery life mainly. One could switch to a 6lowpan network when you just want (eg) IM notifications and such working 24/7 - which can (if necessary) trigger a full WiFi connect.

    6lowpan support?

Think there's any chance of squeezing in a 6lowpan module for low-power wireless? ;)
