Preorders Have Started. (Previously named starts in two hours)

Better compatibility seems like it should be more important than what must be a tiny difference in price. :/

Linked it in /r/Bitcoin and /r/Pyra.

Preorders Have Started. (Previously named starts in two hours)

I was unrealistically hoping for 1000 preorders in the first hour. :p

Uh, I only made one preorder so far, and get two vouchers for the one payment. Edit: No idea how the angry icon got used. I am not angry. :P

Preorders Have Started. (Previously named starts in two hours)

BTW, what's with the blank "terms and conditions" page we had to agree to? :x

But will they be shipped with the earlier queue position, or the later one? I don't want my backup unit to cause my main one to get delayed... Joerg said on IRC that the modem is not likely to be modular itself, and be tied to the main board. Is that correct? Maybe I will get my backup as a EU...

Preorders Have Started. (Previously named starts in two hours)

If there are credit card troubles/delays, do those lose their place in line, or do they get to keep it also? ;) Also, what happens if I order my main unit + backup unit separately at different times? Do I still get the discount? Do they ship together (at the earlier order position) or...

    Finalizing everything!

Wait, so if I'm using a SIM, it's impossible to use a microSD???

    Finalizing everything!

I see the MicroSD slot in the photo of the bottom, but no place to put a SIM?? Also, are any of the LEDs bright enough to be used as a flashlight? Also, it's not clear yet to me if the modem can be moved from one Pyra to another. If it can, I'm inclined to get 1 Mobile + 1 Standard, but if not...

    Finalizing everything!

Yeah, the latter form is definitely needed, since obviously there are many more recent CPUs available, just not in Pyra-CPU-board form.

    Finalizing everything!

It could, but the same is true for USD, EUR, etc. It's not very likely for bitcoin either. In any case, I think BitPay locks in the current exchange rate for you.

    Finalizing everything!

Ignore him, he's apparently a troll (or very misled by them). What he's claiming about Blockstream is nothing but slander. There's a little "club" trying to damage Bitcoin's reputation by being loud on online forums so they can sell people on their competing (cloned-from-Bitcoin)...

    Finalizing everything!

Is it true that the 4G module must be soldered on? Can that be changed somehow? It seems a likely candidate for upgrading, and many people will likely want to swap between US and EU modules...

    Finalizing everything!

Isn't Bitcoin going to be accepted? That would almost seem like a no-brainer these days, and can be used from anywhere.

    Finalizing everything!

Wait, why have a limit at all? Just to reduce the risk in case of a freak problem with the production units?

    Finalizing everything!

Do I understand correctly that this would mean charging 2x as fast with 2x USB power adapters?

    Bugs and Calculations

Would be nice to know the numbers with the 4 GB hardware with only 2 GB enabled (powering off one of the modules)...

    Bugs and Calculations

So I suggest a 64 GB eMMC variant that "happens" to have 4 or 8 GB RAM chips, but only 2 GB RAM of which is advertised/officially supported. :) Would that work?

GPD Win (x86 Computer / Palmtop)

They did promise at least Android support as a non-default option in the comments section.
