    Pandora PNDManager

I'm a bit caught up in stuff this week, but I'll try to squeeze this in :P @notaz is there any handy tool for me to verify the patch fixes the issue with? I'd rather not look at the internals of PNDManager side core either :P

That's your opinion, but let's not go there again.

    Pyra Media Coverage

@Reath: If I may offer a couple of suggestions, mostly grammar fixes and phrasing:

Might I suggest a 4gb ram Pyra version be standard?

I guess it's relative. Both to the total price and personal financial status.

Might I suggest a 4gb ram Pyra version be standard?

My guess is the moment the price difference went public.

Yay, preorder complete :) Was the case color decided upon yet?

    "Respects Your Freedom" certification?

Usually the new post is about some new development and should be discussed separately. The old conversation may be relevant as historical reference, but the new discussion is not exactly a continuation as much as a sequel or commentary. The people that participated in the original are no longer...

    ... we're still alive!

I have a strange sense of deja vu from this conversation. Won't go back into it :D

    ... we're still alive!

Debian people had long conversations on systemd, so did Arch. Perhaps those conversations can sate your curiosity. Then there's the conspiracy theories (meant literally, not as a pejorative) about strong-arming tactics being in play. All in all, I think the people to ask are the distribution...

    ... we're still alive!

I mostly like systemd (there are a couple of parts with annoyances, but generally it's been nice) and have recently found a liking to pulseaudio as well. A week or so ago I needed to pipe sound from an application to a browser-based video chat along with my mic input. Was surprisingly simple to...

    Also known as 60 shaftments, 40 spans, 20 cubits, 12 paces, 10 yards, 5 fathoms, 5/11 Gunter's chains, 1/3 shackle, or roughly 9 meters. ;)

Is the volume wheel exposed as an evdev device in userspace?

New and Improved Case Color Poll

That only fixes the case where the voter has already voted. I could've always waited to see which takes the lead and again vote "against" an option. You'd need to make the vote blind and the results confidential as well to avoid the root issue :) EDIT: Even THEN people could speculate which...

New and Improved Case Color Poll

That's kind of the issue with a pick-one style poll like this. It makes people vote tactically instead of honestly. If black and dark red were closer to tied, I'd probably change my vote from dark grey to black to vote "against" an option, which in turn distorts the actual distribution of...

    ... we're still alive!

That's 10-20€ more in production costs. Effect on retail price and BOM may be different. No. The connectors are just provided by the same component.

What software/emulators are in development for the Pyra?

I've been building PNDManager PNDs using Cloudef's makepnd (the tool to convert a recipe to a PND) since quite some time ago. Combined with Urjaman's dchrt build environment it's the best PND developer experience around :)

New and Improved Case Color Poll

No, more like velvet or the mattest matte that ever matted.
