    A Spectrum of Pyra Renders

    Welcome!

Some personal stuff - and prototypes building!

@levi you can see it here (a bit hard to see, as this version seems to be transparent/clear) But if I understand it correctly, it is not glued on top, but from the inside.

    Preparing for the countdown...

If you really just want to point things out (wether or not they are really that obvious or true is another matter) why don't you do that without insulting? Your started with "autistic screeching" which insults both autists and people who want to talk about pyra preparations. I am aware that...

Godot game engine goes Open Source

That error often occurs when a binary has the wrong architecture. How exactly did you compile the game? Have you built godot for the pandora and are compiling the code it from there? Please post the output of file name_of_your_binary

    From Greece with love.

They way I read it is that the fact, that ED don't like to play the "bad cop" like Bosbeetle said, won't help him - as he probably have to do it anyway. It doesn't help (at all)/"Es hilft nichts" is a common german saying, to mention when people have to do things they are uncomfortable with, but...

    Wrapping everything up!

Definitely not. Commodore fans had to wait much longer until old C64 molds were rediscovered so new cases could be produced :p.

WIP Report: No known hardware issues, 30 days of uptime

Not just a day, a whole month. Of course there are more tests to be done, but that seems pretty significant imho.

    It's the speed that counts.

More recent: https://pyra-handheld.com/boards/threads/its-the-speed-that-counts.83415/page-2#post-1444597 Probably the most recent news we can expect by now, as I guess the production will take a while

    Tests, tests, and more tests.

Actually, ED said from the very beginning that it is not sure if the 4GB version can be made, and initially, such a disclaimer was even on the preorder shop page.

    Your requests for Pyra videos

I might do, maybe I even pay someone to apply it for me, depending on how much cutting/dexterity is needed to do so.

    Your requests for Pyra videos

Okay, this is what I thought. But I am still have the feeling that personally I would prefer "not well" working matte screen over a glossy one, which can be considered "working not well" in other regards. I saw the video that ED showed of the grainy screen back than and it looked like I might...

    Your requests for Pyra videos

Not sure if this will be worth a video, a simple answer might be enough: So I would like to know how problematic the glossy display actually is, how much searching for a reflection free angle is needed? How much does a matte protector (if you have one) change it?. I actually missed the point...

    Silence!

so should be any minute by now.

    Silence!

Yep, could very well be that he'll add an assembly video to the unboxing part, or maybe make a cut and present us the assembled part, as he did something similar before. Just wanted to say that the unboxing itself is probably not the exiting part, but the testing afterwards, whether that would...

    Silence!

Me too, kinda tense I guess. However i am not sure if the most tense part is actually afterwards. As probably there have to be some measurements and testing to be done to make sure the cases are completly final now.
  16. Blue Shadow

    Silence!

What is your point? I don't see why it should matter in any way if that very same parts with the very same materials are used later on or not. It is an important milestone either way. Of course an unboxing video of that is not needed™, but it isn't needed for the other material either. In both...

    So, what you backing? [crowdfunders]

I came across the developer in the bridgesim forum, and figured that game was worth to reactivate my Kickstarter account after about 5 years. it kinda combines the asthetic of sunless sea with the gameplay of bridge simulators, so unlike most bridge sims, it does not take place aboard of a...

    Let's move the moulds!

As ED will be in greece on monday and tuesday, I won't expect news before that.

It will, it can be seen on some of the more detailed photos, for example here:

Update regarding the cases (and some other things)

In one of his earlier posts he mentioned that he does "regret the preorder". So it seems he actually did preorder. But of course it's possible that he cancelled his order by now.
