Latest update: Keymats are here, how strong will the logo plate be - and pretty cases.

"Implied" is the keyword here I guess. The point is those implications don't seem to be obvious for most other people. If you hadn't mentioned it, I wouldn't even guess that it could be meant impolite in any way. And even now, it seems a bit like a stretch to me. Maybe there is a bigger context...

A video. Again. Mostly about cases.

You can find pictures on the wiki https://pyra-handheld.com/wiki/index.php?title=Keyboard The clearest one is of course the render texture, but on the photos the umlauts are, despite being blurry, still readable.

A video. Again. Mostly about cases.

Actually, they are on Fn+OPKL (unless the layout changed compared to the first keymat samples, but I doubt it, as that positioning makes sense.) The positioning of ü,ö,ä is similar to a german keyboard, but each shifted by two steps to the left. And ß moved from the top row and is now grouped...

Such feedback about a finished product is different story, but about a prototype? Or didn't they know it is a prototype?

A video. Again. Mostly about cases.

It is not new at all, and the older system had those issues as well. I just looked at an old Quickjoy Joystick for C64, Atari and the like, and it has discolorisations as well. They are not as visible on the textured parts, but they are certainly there. The case of the C64 had those "issues" as...

Even more to see here (now)

Hm.. according to https://www.openpandora.org/#!connectivity it's usb mini ab, which is at least mechanically compatible to mini b (the usual usb mini variant)

Are you sure about that? I don't own a pandora, but shouldn't a normal mini-usb cable work?

Well, your statement was at least a bit confusing to me, that's why I asked. Of course I could guess, but that won't make sure it's the same that you meant, but now it is :-) Although I am still not sure about the button stuck part, but anyway that are all speculations, and there is still ED's...

Even more to see here (now)

Pretty sure physical contact is a prerequisite for friction to happen ;-) So what do you mean? That it will likely to shift eventually? (Although that would probably wear at first, and friction later). I don't know the pandora's cable, but i assume it was thinner than the ground line of the...

Even more to see here (now)

Well, A former professional gamer kept on tweaking the shoulder buttons until they felt good both for him, and also for ED. They might not be on par with those of standalone controller, but I guess we should wait for a comparison until they were used in actual game play.

If I'm not mistaken, the color choices are still not final, but one of the test colors they ordered is dark red. And just re-rendering in another color would not be more representative, as the Shoulder Buttons are also visibly different now. So to represent the current state/plans, it would...

About the stylus - a historical inscription for it?

Only if you see the human as part of the device. But if you consider the tablet as a writing device, the refresh rates are incredibly high - If they were low in this context, you would recognize a delay between writing and seeing the result. But you would need specialized lab equipment to do so.

btw. Not sure about that, but I assumed that is a flokati rug.

Even more to see here (now)

@Grench: When you look at the video (btw I find videos often better to judge colors), ED is holding the "modern art pyra" in his hands at the beginning. Pretty sure that pattern could not be the same by accident, so it would be the same item as in the (blueish) picture. The upper part looks...

Shop is back online (under construction)

Yeah I also think it is a bit unfortunate that you can't see all items of a category at once anymore, and have to click through subcategories first. Also, the shop now lost a really helpful feature: Sorting by availability! Does the new system support that option? Other than that, it looks...

Some personal stuff - and prototypes building!

Does box86/gl4es support OpenGl 3? At least for older x86 PCs that's nowadays one of the biggest obstacle to run unity games, as they dropped OpenGL 2.1 support Have you considered using godot instead?

Some personal stuff - and prototypes building!

Plastic springs are used in the industry in heavy machinery and also as shock absorbers, so I don't see why it should not work on smaller scale per se. If it works for the specific usecase needs to be tested, but that is what @azouls is planning to do anyways. So I won't distrust plastic spring...

Interesting design. Could you change the perspective of the render so we can see the surface of the shoulder buttons a bit better? From the pictures It looks a bit like a joystick fire button rather than a typical controller trigger (which would perfectly fine, especially as I grew up with c64...

    A Spectrum of Pyra Renders

Well, that is the nice thing about this thread: you don't have to flip though all the pages to see the renders, just click on the spoiler button on the first posting.
