    Back from Greece.

If you already use rubber, could it be possible to try out the material for the nubs (and maybe the shoulder buttons as well) ? I don't quite know about wear-and-tear for massive rubber (would probably be hard rubber for these, but maybe the speakers use a softer one), but it might look and feel...

    Secure Skype alternatives ?

What I'm afraid of is the availability of releases for the ARM version of Debian. I did try out Tox a couple years ago, looked fine but IIRC the audio quality was sub-par. Must have evolved since, so I'd already considered it as a first try.

    Secure Skype alternatives ?

Hey all, I thought I'd ask you guys. I've been spending the day looking at replacing a couple privacy-invasive tools, and I'm still struggling with messaging software. As a majority of you (by the looks of it) runs Linux and are receptive to FOSS software, I'm interested in your advice. I've...

TI’s first 64-bit SoC debuts on Linux-driven Phytec module

Sure it does; I guess they would never implement something that doesn't give results ;) @TrashyMG : I know, that's why i figured if this SoC's PowerVR was only one-core, it would confirm the chip as mostly slower than the OMAP5. I was asking if the 2/4 core of this 64b CPU also meant the same...

TI’s first 64-bit SoC debuts on Linux-driven Phytec module

Oh, so the SGX may come in 2-4 cores as well ? In that case, considering the lower TDP, maybe it could be overclocked to similar performance on single-threaded programs.

TI’s first 64-bit SoC debuts on Linux-driven Phytec module

^ This plus it still has the "antique" PowerVR SGX544, which we already have. And it seems single-core unlike the OMAP5432. Thus it might actually be slower, and we already have a potato :p

    Input/Output from GPS

If it can be some kind of discreet widget which only works when WiFi is on and/or on request, I think it would be a neat addition to the Pyra desktop. :)

    Passed the certification!

Now that you mention it, I've been bitten for quite some time. I just hid it to the others so they wouldn't worry. :$ (we need a greyscale of this smiley, so it can be the official news zombie face : o_O)

Ask the Dragon - Date has been set!

This was nice indeed. Always feel a bit special when your question comes up, right ? :) Just two things I kinda missed : - The volume was waaay down. -18dB from the YT stats. I'm lucky I didn't receive a Skype call during the stream otherwise my ears would've bled, heh. - I really liked the...
