Wasn't Samsung working on their own OS called Tizen? Feels like they should have made this an exclusive to that as a way to spark more interest in a new phone OS. None the less it's pretty damn cool. The ide of having one device I just pop into a dock when I get home is really appealing.
I feel like the right way to solve this is to use these boards and give the people who get a slower board a discount on EDs store so they can get a new board later if it's a big deal for them or if it's not a big deal they can get something else. Just an idé. I wonder how much similar stuff...
If the Pyra ever get's a 8 gig ram upgrade it will most likely come with a new SoC. I'm sure ED has a lot of ides for the furture of the system when it comes to upgrades. But I don't think you'll get it this year. Trying to keep up with the competition on mobile SoC's and Ram memory is almost...
considering it will be over 500 people effected, if there is going to be a poll about it maybe notification those who are effected via email about the poll would be a good thing.
For me the eMMC issue isn't an issue as I am part of the second batch and I assume that it will be fixed by the time I get mine. However if I was part of the first batch I would want it fixed, and if not at least give people who are part of the first batch a discount on upgrading it later. Of...
if an article passes a certain date without being updated (like after a half a year) then there should be an automatic text on top of then page warning that the information on the page might be out of date. This is good for tutorials that might not work on later versions of software or the OS...
It's on the CPU board, so it could be replace relative easy but the CPU board (which I would prefer calling SoC board tbh) also contains the SoC (Sytem on a chip, so GPU and CPU) and the Ram, meaning you have to replace those too. Which makes it more expensive.
You talked before that the latest case you ordered was not transparrent but black. Is this still the case? With all the cases being ordered and if it's new once or old once I get confused :s
I'm not sure from your description what you mean? Is it a handheld keyboard or a full size keyboard? Could you maybe draw out a simple drawing on what you mean?
Is it something like the gamecube keyboard?
Because that might scratch a niche market who still want something like that. I don't...
Wow! Didn't know this existed, would have helped me so much a few years ago. Totaly getting it thou. If it would work on the Pyra and we get phone functionality working on the Pyra then I think I could finally say goodbye to Android forever
So getting a bit back on topic the PGS guys claims they are going to be at E3 this year

Wish I could go just to confront them about some things lol
I'm interested in it as a phone replacement. Would like to see how it performs first. I love how UMPC/Palmtops are seeing a little comeback, First the Pyra, then GPD Win, Pocket and now this. I'm still more excited over the Pyra still, but I would take this over the GPD Pocket.
Doesn't Chrome (and chromiume) have it built in?
Doesn't really matter for me, I am happy to see flash finally die after getting neglected by Adobe for years
Amazing update! Make sure you get some sleep ED. You need more than just coffee to survive. I could not do what you're doing. I'm a little concerned about the idea of not doing another prototype run. How accurate are the simulations?
I would love that too. Apparently this one dev is working on doing that for Ubuntu Phone http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2017/01/dev-work-run-android-apps-ubuntu-phone
I don't know if that could spin into something for general Linux distros in the future, but one could hope.
YAY so happy to hear all of this. Will some of the prototypes be populated with 4gigs of ram?
Also the Pyra News just surpassed the Pandora News in discussions!
