GP2X Getting Proper Tv-out Resolution With No Scaling At All

Let's clear some bits. The top and bottom black borders in PAL screens are ok. I did it that way. I'm displaying a 320x240 image in a 320x288 resolution which has black borders. Those black borders *are* part of the current image. That's a quick hack because I can't display a 320x240 image...

    Jxd 301

i think im getting one. 600 mhz + 320x240 3" in an awesomely bright TFT + 2 gb + SD support + probably 32mb or 64 mb RAM (as it load Neogeo roms) + 90 eur VAT and shipping included = bargain seems like a horsepowered GP32 to me... no OS at background and just a framebuffer and audio... :)...

GP2X Getting Proper Tv-out Resolution With No Scaling At All

nice pics yuan! no news as of yet. replying: 1) How would you work on an overscan area for your application? You should not mess with overscan. If you want a bigger area it would be wiser to choose a bigger video mode. 2) Is it technically possible to broadcast 320x240 progressive video...

you can replace the images shown in test app just convert the new image to BMP24 and rename it to IMG1, or convert it to TGA then rename it to IMG2 it should work out of the box ah some real TV photos finally :D thanks! did you notice any scaling artifact btw?

GP2X Getting Proper Tv-out Resolution With No Scaling At All

Thanks for the support guys! More feedback please? If I get no feedback soon I'll move to other bits and consider this finished. Maybe the tv-test app should be in front page to let users submit their feedback.

    Gp2xpectrum

Yeah I will. However, I think it will be easier if you finish first the interrupt handling and those timing issues (which ones btw?), then I add the missing bits into gp2xpectrum (probably I'll change quite a few things since adding pentagon/scorpion, trd/scl/tzx/csw support etc is not a trivial...

I found that issue with jack2+kempston while coding fZX32 (which is derivated gp2xpectrum from). But... are you sure is not a bug in the game? has anyone tried it in a real spectrum? I tell you this because I have found no PC emulator able to map kempston joystick with jack the nipper 2.

I don't see 'em using Linux either. I often see a crap dump of non-sense or out-of-context texts ;)

GP2X Which Os Is Best For Coding With

The more options I have in a system, the more time I waste my time customizing it. And this implies the more time I waste, the less time I code. I personally use a cmd box in Windows (XP) to code since Windows has little to customize, and it's not that bad. If you stick with devkitgp2x and...

GP2X Getting Proper Tv-out Resolution With No Scaling At All

mmm... I don't like any solution that requires more than one file per program I guess I'll have to do some work & find another solution & test the lib under open2x before a release then :P Back to the topic, more feedback/photos please?

GP2X Getting Proper Tv-out Resolution With No Scaling At All

Those circles are generated in the scaling from TV to camera photo, but they not were in the TV afaik. You can check Notaz's photos which were captured directly from screen, right? I'd suggest to everyone to test the program in their own TV and post feedback here. Checking for scaling artifacts...

GP2X Getting Proper Tv-out Resolution With No Scaling At All

Ok, today is the TV day :P Can you guys tell me about this TV test? (see attachment) It will show you 2 images in PAL mode, then 2 images in NTSC mode. You don't have to press any button to slideshow the images. You don't have to enable TV mode previously either. NTSC should be 100% ok, PAL...
