GPD Win (x86 Computer / Palmtop)

I gotta agree with Levi here, not only do tablets have more surface area to disperse the heat, glass is also a pretty good conductor of heat. I am slightly concerned about the built up heat both the pyra and win will produce. I know ED recently posted on the subject, I still have my reservations.

    Sonys VR Headset.

One could have a "anti-startle" policy and require a locked door. The porn thing isn't a fear of mine as much as some screwing with me, or even just watching me without me knowing. I'll probably have a designated "VR" time and require a loud knock from anyone needing me. On a somewhat off...

GPD Win (x86 Computer / Palmtop)

I never said full speed, I said playable, they aren't exactly the slideshows as you were suggesting with your "my 4x-5x as powerful desktop struggles with PS2" it looks like the z8500 struggles. I do feel there are likely to be some games that aren't quite as playable, but until I get a chance...

GPD Win (x86 Computer / Palmtop)

While these may not be the most demanding of games for those systems, it shows some games, and not just 2d games should be playable on the z8550 PS2 on Z8500 gamecube/wii on z8500 I use steam streaming on 802.11G 2.4ghz networks and rarely run into bandwidth issues. Sometimes when my kids...

    GPD XD2

They still had the q9 in production when they announced the xd, it came out a year later. I think they are ok.

    GPD XD

I know that, and you seem to think that, but maybe other people see unknown Chinese handheld company. If the company, not specific to GPD, does not deliver its a public channel to voice your concerns where you might otherwise be silenced by obscurity in a forum managed by the company themselves...

    GPD XD

Or problems with those same people not using Kickstarter....

    GPD XD

I have no problem with it personally, and actually like the extra sense of security in preordering products through crowd sourced avenues. Might not be in the true spirit of Kickstarter like projects, and more to the tune of massdrop, but whatever.

GPD Win (x86 Computer / Palmtop)

ok, maybe I am looking at it weirdly then. Me and you read the same posts. I pulled from them the impression that ED is suggesting that they took the XD design, point and clicked a couple times, and an afternoon later you got a GPD Win, few days later you can have a printed case to demo. If ED...

GPD Win (x86 Computer / Palmtop)

I'm not doubting it was a huge undertaking by ED and his outsourced company to take an existing device recreate it in CAD it probably was very time consuming to recreate it millimeter by millimeter for a new application. I work with architects, I hear their complaints when upgrading or changing...

GPD Win (x86 Computer / Palmtop)

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if they took their initial design to fabrication right away, then when promoting it try and give the impression that it was interactive to gain good relations. They listen on major requests, we did ask for x86 and clamshell with a keyboard, and they are...

GPD Win (x86 Computer / Palmtop)

I understand his argument. I don't feel he's representing the situation accurately. They are making it physically bigger, slimmer, adding a keyboard, adding ports, different pcb, bigger screen, etc. The same things as the pyra did. Things that effect the case mold.

GPD Win (x86 Computer / Palmtop)

Maybe I'm looking at it weirdly but the pyra seems just as different from the pandora as the win looks to the XD, if not much more so. The idea that the win is just a slight modification of the XD is absurd. If ED's argument is slight modifications were done to make the XD a win then the pyra...

    Sonys VR Headset.

I am a VR enthusiast, I was actually warning people years ago back when the rift kickstarter came through, as to not jump in too quickly because of how bad things used to be not too long ago...

    Sonys VR Headset.

I'm firmly in the oculus rift camp, however I truly see the price point advantage here. Also being able to play all your existing PS4 games in a virtual environment without the need of an additional television sounds fantastic. For those non-techy console people, I can see the desire to have...

The World's First 5.5 Inch Handheld PC/Gaming Console Based on Windows 10 System.

The extra work will be in the port it's self and fixing things that don't work out of the box for whatever distro. I will be working on a port personally (not officially) and would welcome anyone wishing to assist as it could be a fair amount of work. Preloading should be as easy as booting to...

My god the fanboys of the last couple pages is too much to handle. Quite the performance guys. Bravo. Circle jerking isn't going to make the GPD go away, and seems ineffective in persuading people away from liking it, it just makes you look like fanboys and it appears to be getting worse and...
