Should I have received my final order eMail already?

I'm hoping at the very least, by the time I get mine (perhaps next year if I'm lucky at the current rate), that the software will have evolved at least to get decent sound and battery life on standby. I'm thinking now that I'll use mine with a few AI scripts as a pocket study mentor/guide. It...

New copper cases are finally being assembled

I cannot agree with this more.

New copper cases are finally being assembled

I might be tempted to buy two cases - a (matte?) black Pyra, and copper case, and replace the front bezel and keyboard area with copper, and leave the outside black. Then have the best of both worlds with a battery cover that works (more) smoothly..?

New copper cases are finally being assembled

Welcome back :) Copper is the new black. I'm sold! Down side... it's going to be harder waiting again.

This is a longshot, but... anime thread?

Been watching Migi & Dali - good mix of creepy and funny. Also we've started re-watching World Trigger which is an excellent series.

    Linear or tactile?

If it helps, they're made from silicon and are very durable. I treat my actual (Amiga) floppies with the utmost of respect and care.

No, I simply am a fan of config files... Windows ME was the latest version of Windows I've ever used. Although I'm now tempted to install NixOS, so I'll need to work out how that's all going to work in an immutable, declarative environment. Config files are better for tinker-ability.

    Linear or tactile?

It's awesome, and the linear keys feel pretty natural already. Now getting used to home row modifier keys, and a feature called caps word (shift keys are at D and K, and ctrl, meta and alt also mapped to the home fo row keys).

Another micro update from the Discord. ED now has the copper cases, but has gone away on holiday for a week, so likely no official update for a while unfortunately. Personally I can't wait to see some of those copper Pyrae eventually assembled :D

    Linear or tactile?

Just pushed the confirm button, and have decided to go for linear. Can always change the switches at a later stage if they're awful.

    Thought of the day...

You also don't realise that one day they may be reliant on you, and that "parent / child" dynamic reverse.

General News on Pyra: Best applications/games etc

True, but there's still nothing quite like Pyra.

    Linear or tactile?

All my current keyboards are tactile, and I do love the way they feel, but I must admit that I'm getting more tempted to try linear ones though for the next one.

    Linear or tactile?

Don't tell me that you skipped the joy of "wonderful" keyboards like the ZX Spectrum, or at least a C64, similar 8-bit computer, or Amiga..?

    Linear or tactile?

Neat board! I did put rubber rings to dampen the clack on one of my keyboards which worked well. I think some people also use lubrication on their mechanical switches, although I've not found the need for that quite yet. Perhaps just because I haven't tried it yet...

    Linear or tactile?

This is good advice, thanks. My inclination was/is to buy it (after saving up, of course), and get used to it. I'd love to try one first, but not sure that's a possibility (at least a full keyboard). Columnar layouts and split keyboards have their own learning curve to begin with, and I've...

    Linear or tactile?

I'm considering getting a new keyboard. Specifically the new Voyager from ZSA: https://www.zsa.io/voyager I'm thinking to try linear keys this time - I've got keyboards with tactile keys, but want to try something different. I'm not a gamer (at least not one that uses a keyboard for gaming...
