Should I have received my final order eMail already?

Speaking for myself, if you might be able to fix more software issues by jumping ahead in the queue, I'd be happy.

Micro Pyra news from the.. dragons mouth

I really hope power management can be sorted for the Pyra.

Should I have received my final order eMail already?

In just two months, the Pyra comes, A handheld dream, we'll hold in thumbs. A gadget that will set us free, To game and work, wherever we be. With buttons plenty, and screens that shine, It's built for all, a friend of mine. A pocket-sized computer, oh so grand, To take with us, wherever we...

That makes it sound quite a bit more optimistic, thanks :D

Were there around 500 of them? If so, we're about half-way through...

Should I have received my final order eMail already?

Well, production started in Dec 2020, and there apparently are roughly 250(?) Pyrae now in the wild... I'm really hoping that production may be able to ramp up even a little, it sounds like many of the problems have been resolved (or are in progress re software updates). What concerns me most...

That's bad. I almost backed them too.

Micro Pyra news from the.. dragons mouth

Hard to tell for me, but the copper indeed looks unique yet flashy, and the matte black could be quite sexy. But, they both look dead and hollow without the beating heart of a Pyra inside of them, and to put some colour in their cheeks.

what about this new cooling solution..

They do sound great, in theory. I still have my doubts.

what about this new cooling solution..

Would it be easier to get clogged up with particles, moisture, etc. And also much harder to clean if it was (and impossible to tell how much contaminants are inside it causing it to just become a cosy warm blanket)?

Micro Pyra news from the.. dragons mouth

I think you had mixed up your priorities for a second. You're welcome for the correction :p Seriously though, I really appreciate you still supporting the Pyra community, even if you've had your Pyra now for nigh on two years now (could it be that long?), and obviously life has now moved on.

I'm looking forward to seeing both cases. They both sound awesome.

    Pinebook / Pine64 Versus Pyra ?

This is comparing apples and oranges. Pointless.

Should I have received my final order eMail already?

It will be no more than and no less than Two Months. I've given up trying to be like Nostradamus, and predict when I'll get mine. I think I'll perhaps go through a phase of shocked disbelief, before finally concluding "wow, that last x years has really gone by fast."

Should I have received my final order eMail already?

Another micro-update from ED (not tagged here so not to disturb him from making Pyrae) on IRC, who of course is still far too busy to post an official update, unfortunately. When asked about the new copper cases: When asked for a production update: I don't really know about the...

I should have checked IRC... ED gave a little micro-update just a bit earlier:

Should I have received my final order eMail already?

I asked OpenAI when I might expect my Pyra, in the absence of other information. This is what it said: AI sucks.

Should I have received my final order eMail already?

I suspect yours just isn't ready yet. I get the impression that ED both has had little to no time to work on getting Pyras out, and may be concerned about (sound or stability) issues that should be ironed out before proceeding with with production.

    Veganism

Yeah, vegans aren't limited to uninspiring things like salad and nut loaf like they may have been 20 years or so ago (re dining out, or processed / pre-packaged food). Often I find myself trying the vegan option in a menu because frankly if often sounds the most interesting. It's both boring...

    Sporty Sporting Sports Thread

If it doesn't prominently feature balls, then it may count as a sport I'd be more interested in. An AI kitten called Mittens has been making waves in the chess scene right now.
